Dear Finn, what a pretty picture of you. You look like you have a nice easy going personality. I was 10 years old in 1948, and then...as now, I would have admired you greatly.
Morning Dear Finn...thanks for coming over to knitting kat and answering all my questions in your comment. It's all very interesting. From your Dell photo 'shop' to the quotes from quilters long gone now. Can you imagine leaving on a wagon train, never to see your loved ones again! Those women must have really loved thier men. I've always felt sorry for those that had thier lives cut short by dying in childbirth or illness, with no Dr.'s or meds to help them through....How interesting that Gladys Taber wrote for the magazine. I like her *s*. She was extremely outgoing, wasn't she. And, honest too. I have a book of hers, an album really...'Stillmeadow Album'. Have you seen this one? Its pictures of her home and she has a paragraph or two of comments by each picture. I want badly to post one of the pictures...but my imagination sees a ....well maybe a heavy fine for posting something copywrited....or how about Maggie Ann in jail...boo hoo. Figured I'd better not, though it does seem harsh not to be able to share just a little bit of something special you paid for, doesn't it. Hope you have a lovely Saturday and Lord's Day. Blessings to you Finn! I enjoyed the comments you left me mega!
