Here is my Yuletide Blossoms top, borders added and all ready to be basted. The borders are 3.5" and the top measures 42" square. Now I'm busy piecing a backing from odds and ends. Was going to use just one fabric, but changed my mind.....as usual...*VBG*

It turned out great, Finn. WTG
They sure go together fast...I'm hoping to make a lap size in a short bit of time. Absolutely love this block ... it has so many different looks to it.

Very nice! I keep hearing (reading) about the pineapple blossoms quilt, but this is the first one I have seen. So I went to Quiltville page for the full story/pattern. May have to try this when I get more time. Yours looks great! I believe I like it better without the border. Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt projects.

Finn this is so wonderful! What a fun way to use those xmas fabrics! And the stripe outside border is sooo cute - makes me think of candy canes!

I wonder how much xmas fabric I have laying around - I don't think too much. Darn.

Oh Finn! Your Yuletide quilt just sparkles! I can't wait to see it with your quilting.

I think you're going to love your odds and ends back. They just have so much personality! Just like you! ;-)

Thanks for the terrific comments to my "binge blogging." ;-)

PS. Your thoughts about the sidebar are exactly how I feel too...but I donno how to do that yet...it takes time and smarts to be puter savvy...and I don't know if I should...take the time, that is...getting smart would probably be a good thing!

Thanks gals..I'm quite happy with the outcome of the Yuletide Blossoms. I see things I might do differently if I do it again, but that's the fun of it. I did feel that by pressing the seam towards the blossoms, instead of towards the stripe, that the top sort of looks like its laying on a second cloth. Didn't have quite enough NOT to need corner squares...oh well...LOL. I'm hoping to get it basted today.

Dear Finn...you are a wonderful artist! I love the burst of color in this quilt. I have spent the day cross-stitching and am content. *s*. It is a beauty of a day, the sun is shining and its over 60 degrees outside. wow!! what a great day. I am so impressed with your quilting. And to think I've got a brand new sewing machine sitting downstairs waiting for me....I wish ...I wish...oh well, Lord willing, there's always tomorrow. *smile* Blesings to you. Just wondering, what are you reading now?

Finn,
I LOVE THIS! Is this the pineapple blossom block everyon is talking about? If so where would I find it?

Also, where in WI do you live? I'm a native MN. Grew up in Rochester and lived in Apple Valley/Burnsville area before having to move to KS...Someday I'll go back home!
