Saturday, Nov. 26th..cold. In 2002 I sold my house. I was turning 62 and could get into Senior housing...which seemed like a good idea, at the time. My friend, Betsy, was concerned about the amount of space. Obviously she was seeing and thinking more clearly than I was.Any way, the house sold in 2 days, I ended up living in B's guest house for 6 weeks til Oct. and age 62. For my birthday that year, Betsy made me a new "house"..and on the back it says, "Home is where your fabric is". The little house quilt is typical "Betsy"...and very, very maverick...I love it.

I love it too! How wonderful she had a guest house available -- and is a quilter. (vbs)
(We only got about a half inch of snow and it'll be gone today -- but it's cold--brrrrrr!)

Morning Finn! I just read the comment you left me at knitting kat and wanted to tell you that 'you' are sunshine on my shoulders. I'm so glad to know you!....Betsy sounds like a gem of a friend and a kindred spirit. And..to think that while you were in the midst of a major change, you were on her mind and heart as she stitched your 'little house' quilt..which is charming. *s*

Finn- I love this little quilt- and what a sweet thing to give to you! Very thoughtful. I laughed my head off when I read the saying from the back. said it outloud, laughing, DH says, You guys are sickos! Well, I'm glad we're sick together. I can't think of an ailment I'd rather have! Love the pineapple blocks, by the way!
