Tuesday, Nov. 15th...cold and rainy in WI. This is the first Jewel Box I made. It was for grandson # 2. I kept the background the same, and used all the same blue with bears for the darker triangles. The four patches were as scrappy as I could make them. Machine pieced, hand quilted. First time I used flannel on the back, while hand quilting. Posted by Picasa

Finn, that's a neat quilt but I think I like the baby better! :) Cute little rascal!

I like both your jewel boxes and that baby! How cute is he! I have a jewel box that I did in Christmas colors as an online mystery many moons ago. I'll post a picture when I get my Christmas quilts out!

Look at that adorable baby! I've always wanted to do a jewel box. But it is one I've never done! Can you believe that!

I've always wanted a baby in a jewel box, or is that a baby on a jewel box, or is that really just a jewel box quilt? LOL! Love it, love the baby!

This is a beautiful quilt too....love the way the squares criss-cross like an Irish Chain. The colors are pretty and the name...'Jewel Box', wow! As for the grandson....you are so blessed! We just got the good news our daughter and sil and baby will be here the middle of Dec. Oh..happy day!
