And a lot of times, it's doing it easier than the pattern designer suggests. I'm all about shortcuts, but not compromising workmanship.Passionate Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15280625610653416523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14458986.post-1149556467873524262006-06-05T20:14:00.000-05:002006-06-05T20:14:00.000-05:00How great to be free enough to change the pattern!...How great to be free enough to change the pattern! The reason for the great in our time of getting in touch with creativity, is that technology is moving so fast, one project where one will be in five years. By development of our own art, we create an identity for ourselves that provides continuity in a rapidly changing world. Here I am, and this is who I am right now.

If we didn't find a way to do it our way, everything would be the same. Witness all the Grandmother's Flower Gardens, Dresden Plates and Doulbe Wedding Rings of the 30's. That pretty much put an end to the big quilting resurgence of the time. That's part of why ours goes on . . . because we personalize.
But, I'm with Betsy, too. I would have eliminated the extra seams.Linda C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13665908006400532768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14458986.post-1149514402438493002006-06-05T08:33:00.000-05:002006-06-05T08:33:00.000-05:00good to get back to a begun project and finish it ...good to get back to a begun project and finish it up!
