or perhaps the third star to the right, that's where you'd find me. This is my absolutely most favorite screensaver. I have had it for long time. I don't know whose picture it is, but I found it at www.webshots.com I think some of you have photo albums there. I do...*VBS*...several. You could check all most all of my quilts, divided into categories at http://community.webshots.com/user/finnleah Pretty much everything I've shown on my blog is at Webshots. I've been happy to see there are lots and lots of downloads. And as I've said before, you are welcome to right click and save pictures you see on my blog. I do that with quilts that I see. Not to copy them, but to remember the layout, or even just the color combination. Some, like Tonya's ( http://lazygalquilting.blogspot.com/ ) Alien Invasion, I have a picture of it just so I can look and it again and again without going back to her blog every time. If you are someone who doesn't like the idea of others right clicking your quilts or pictures, I think the right thing to do is to PROCLAIM that on your blog. I know of several blogs that don't allow it, but that doesn't mean I can't visit and enjoy them . In the case of Bonnie at Quiltville( www.quiltville.com ) if we are printing off a pattern of hers, the pictures come along too. That doesn't make her quilt or pattern, mine. But when I make a quilt, from her pattern and put it on my blog, I feel it IS my quilt to show. But I always say whose pattern and idea it was in the beginning...that's the right thing to do.
I've been sewing this morning, after a day of cleaning . My sewing room is ALMOST neat enough to take a picture of...LOL. After our chilly night on Wednesday, we've stayed in that same temp. range. It was 10 degrees this a.m. But the sun is out and that always help. For us, these are January temps, not early Dec. Ms. Ebby is having a "tearing around" this morning. The mad dash, jump and run kind. Like a demon was after her. She is provoked with me, as I've taken away the spoon of Friskies premium "wet" food she gets each morning. She lives for that little bit....but what I'm finding is that she wants it sooooo bad, she gobbles it and then a short time later...IT's BACK! I think I will pick up some hard kitty treats in pouches, and give her a couple of those instead. Hope you have sunshine on your shoulders today...Happy December everyone..*VBS*

UGH - my girl does that with her cat food too. (The amount that it takes to bring it back varies so it is hard to regulate.) My girl also does that mad dash about the house - usually after a potty visit - like she has to get away from her stink as fast as possible so that noone knows it was hers... That is at least our working theory.
Glad to hear that I am not the only one to save inspiration photos...
Vincent has been known to leave his thanks for having premium food too! I think it may be just too rich or something and they gobble it so fast!
When he races through the house, it is quite the sound as he's so BIG!!
:)
I like Webshots screen savers. When I was in cubicle-land the IT guys would always remove it from my PC because they said it gobbled resources. Heh. Too bad you can't remember whose it it, it is a nice illustration. I have my photos on PictureTrail.
wonderful screen saver -- really inspiring for an art quilt....
Love the colors in the webshots screensaver! I have your webshots pages saved as a favorite. Don't you just love the little cat presents - as long as it is not the OTHER kind!
Have a great weekend, try to stay warm!
Finn, what a beautiful screen saver, I can see why that would be your favorite!
I am with you on the right clicking, I do that myself to save photos of something I like that I see... color combos.. or such .... I never thought about it not being okay ... I sure don't mind anyone right clicking on my photos I put up :O)... fine with me (VBG) Heck if someone likes something I did well enough to want to save the picture, makes me fee good :O)...
If I read that people didn't want me to do that, I wouldn't ... but I haven't seen that so far...or mmm maybe I have missed that??? I will have be sure to watch for that! :O)....
Hmmm - are you really talking teaspoon or is she gettting a big heaping tablespoon?
I've never had much problem with mine getting a half a can of fancy feast (it's a little can, and when two kittys split it, they really are only getting a tablespoon or so.) The ones in 'gravy' are wetter and they can't eat it as fast because they have to lick it, not chomp and gulp.
It's a beautiful screensaver. I used to have a slideshow from my quit inspiration photos. Now it's just a plain blank screen. Hhhhm. Need to get my slideshow going again. I save photos all the time in my "inspriations" folder. Sometimes because it's just a beautiful quilt or nice color scheme or a pattern I particularly want to try. I've never thought that I shouldn't. I don't plan to publish them anywhere just save them for my own use.
My cats do the "tearing around" bit often. Thank goodness not all at the same time! I had a cat a few years ago who ate everything so fast then he'd hack it back up. I stepped in his "present" a time or 2 on a midnight trip to the bathroom. YUCK! Try maybe just dipping the spoon in the can of food and letting her lick that off the spoon.
Happy December to you, too.
Oh...I remember back when we had a housecat.... So funny to watch their antics, isn't it! The change of weather, perhaps?
Good luck with Ebby's diet change.
Thanks for the album info. I've got to get my pics organized. Happy December to you and Ebby, too.
I do the same Finn - copy pictures purely for inspiration - I find it invaluable if I hit a lull and just don't know what to work on next - a quick scan through my saved pictures usually gets the creative juices up and running again - not to copy just to inspire :o)
good to read this post...poor Ebby's tummy not liking that special treat, hope you find a good alternative. love your screensaver, boy is it special.
After I had weaned the cats from wet canned food, Jimmy started giving each of our 7 cats a teaspoon of special wet canned cat food and now they beg and wake us up at 5 a.m. begging and it has turned from a teaspoon to a half a small can each. Have you seen my fat Daisy & Jybow lately? The outdoor cats leave the droppings, so we don't worry about it, but Jybow does the mad dashes in the house quite frequently.
