My son would love those monsters! Who makes that fabric?

I'll have to see if I can find the plastic bag with the trimming in it..and see if there is a name on the selvedge..will get back to you..*G*
I found the bag..the one scrap that has selvedge says shamash and sons.
The line is called Little Monsters and there are quite a few co-ordinating fabrics, and the monsters do come in a smaller print size. I bought the bigger size, but at $8.40 a yard, decided NOT to fussy cut them. The spacing is pretty weird and overlaps. The stripes I wanted to use(of course) were in that price range also. But once in a while I don't mind spending abit more. The top will be 40 X 48" before borders. I plan on using some of the scraps and trim aways in the borders.
Woohoo, fun!!!!
Hi Christine, went looking for you but hit a dead end. Thanks for your nice compliment. Feel free to use that idea. What happens when you use a large focus fabric in the center, like that, is a modified 9 patch. If you quilt some, you'll recognize that. What I was thinking is, if you can't find a stripe you like for the sides, make one from solid color fabrics. By making one fairly long segment of the color combs, you have enough I think.
Another possibility is to just use a solid color of purple or red, etc, on the sides, and find a cool fabric for the 4 corner posts. I think that would look nice too.
I was lucky enough to find the striped fabric in the same store as the Little Monsters, so for me it was pretty much a "given". Would love to have fussy cut them, but the overlap is just crazy..so I did the best I could and based their size on what I could get with the least waste.
My monster blocks are 4.5" X 4.5" and the stripes and corner pieces are 2.5" X 2.5". I think they could be narrower, but I'm ok with how it turned out. I will still use lattice inbetween..in lime green with stars I think..*VBG* Hope this helps.
