Trip around the world ala Bonnie...

One thing I know for sure.... if I am ever in a timed event with Bonnie, I want at LEAST a 2 day head start..*VBG*. This is my twin size Trip Around the World with scraps. It may not be the final layout..I keep wanting to have the 4 lights that come together match up better. Same with the dark 4's.

But then again, I've been at this off and on all day for 3 days, and I might just leave it the way it is, sew it together tomorrow, add borders and call it done. I did use up alot of scraps and smaller pieces, and it's fairly bright and happy. Right now it measures 60" X 72".

Finn it is beautiful! I"m finding Bonnie's quilts always turn out so bright and happy! I've been cutting fabric all day for her bricks and stepping stones. Tomorrow I should have a picture.

It's GLORIOUS!!! I love it! you know, I've made these patterns over and over and I never get tired of doing them.

And you don't need a two day head start either, it's not a race! We each go at the pace that our drummers drum to :c)

Thanks gals ! *VBS* I went looking for you Dawn, but couldn't find a blog for you. Do you have one?? I'd love to see your thought and stuffs. If not, that is fine too.
Bonnie, oh please, I need a head start... : ) I know it's not a race, I'd just like to have them done before winter.*VBG*..especially the ones going to Minnea-snow-da. They showed the barracks last night on the news..lots of concrete and pretty bleak, but the local community is already working on it.
I'm joining rows this a.m. and just took a toast and coffee break.

Don't forget that Bonnie has her Scrap User's system. They're already cut and sorted. Many of us quilters have to go out, find the fabric, iron, cut and THEN begin to sew. :)

Finn, Dawn is now one of the Quilt Mavericks. Her blog is "Quilts and Pieces." Marvelous quilt - don't worry about how long it's taking.

Finn - Tonya is trying to help me fix whatever is keeping you from seeing my blog. But you should be able to get to it for now with this link:

Sorry about that. I haven't figured out all the settings!

I'm starting to see the wiseness of Bonnie's scrap system! As like Leah said, I rummaged, ironed, but and made piles! That took a lot of work! I can see just pulling out of scrap bin would have made it much easier! And I would have had more choices for fabrics.

HI Dawn, thank for the help. I did get to your site tonight, and it's wonderful. Really beautiful kids and gorgeous quilts.
Glad to have you aboard. Yes, the SYSTEM...! I've got to finish getting the SYSTEM in place...LOL
