Finn is alive and well and in rebellion against conforming and the upcoming holiday. She has scraps to play in, and play she did. This is what she was doing instead of what she was SUPPOSE to be doing. Note the little square at the side.....that is what I made from bonus hst's this time around. Those aren't 2.5" squares you are seeing..it's ALL triangles. Just made to top part of Birds in the Air and joined them down the middle..*VBG* Posted by Picasa

Dear Finn, those colors and design are really beautiful together. I'm glad you rebelled and got creative = ). I think its that pinch of artist in me that craves beauty in creativity. Does that make sense or make me sound nutty? Well, its who I am anyway...you must feel so satisfied at the end of the day after making something so lovely.

Snort!!!

(Sung to the tune of Jingle Bells)
Squares and strips,
Strings and bits,
I don't have time for them.
But what fun it is to play in the scrap pile every day.

Squares and strips,
Strings and bits,
I just can't help myself.
Oh what fun it is to play
In the scrap pile every day!

Just remember valentines Day is also an upcoming holiday and this would make a great Valentines quilt. LOL!

I came over to play, Finn. :)

The only thing I'm doing that I'm "supposed to do" today is grocery shop. (And that's just because I'm hungry for a few specific things.)

The rest of the day I'll be quilting and playing.

Want to have tea and cookies at 2:00?

Hugs.

These are wonderful! Wonder if they make playgrounds of fabric for us adults? :-)

This is definitely a much more fun project to work on. Love all the colors and patterns you have going together. That little bonus block is the Jack on Six that I was playing with in class. It is a fun block.

very pepperminty. Nice use of value.... I'd have messed that one up for sure!

Oooh! I like it, Finn! And I like The Calico Cat's idea of peppermints.

Glad you're a rebel! Wouldn't want you any other way!

Well, OK. I'll take you any way!

Thanks gals what I've discovered is that I had to take "adult" responsibility waaaaay to young (4.5 yrs). And I never looked back, did whatever needed doing, married young and just considered myself "old" for my age. Well, guess what?? After 30+ years of marriage, one slightly unexpected divorce and a period of mourning, I found the child alive and well in there. I(my grownup self)is tired of always having the answers, solving the problems, and "fixing" things.
These days I let "her" take care of things that are absolutely necessary, but the rest is MINE...Finn, alive and well and happy!! *VBG*
