Greeting from a very cold WI this morning..we are at 3 degrees. Only suppose to warm up to 10 by mid day...Brrrrrrrrrr. The rubbermaid is still here in the sewing room, and there are still more orphans in there. Here are the the latest 2 that popped out. The Father Christmas is a reject from a Santa Puzzle quilt I made a few years back. not sure what I didn't like about him..LOL. The star was one of those you make to see if you like the color combo..I didn't. It's that gold pointsetta print (an RJR) that did it. I never could get it to play nicely with others. Should have known about Bonnie's rule that it's NOT cut small enough...LOL Posted by Picasa

I have this vision of little orphan blocks popping out of your bin at random moments. Sort of like the party girl out of the cake. Then I see you dancing around with the blocks with glee! LOL! Love all the sharing!

Maybe Father Christmas just needs a face to make him more distinctive... I really like star block - you may not have wanted a whole quilt with that gold poinsetta fabric, but it'll look great in the orphan quilt.

OK, I LOVE that santa block. So the question is - do you remember how you made it? Were there templates? You'll have to email me off line - he is too perfect!

I love that star block. I see what you mean about that naughty fabric not playing right, but the design of the star is pretty cool!

I thought maybe you were going to tell us about the *help* that you hired out for so that you could sew just a bit more through the holidays! ;-) LOL
