It's a WEAR WARM CLOTHES kind of day here in WI...local weather reposts that we are at a minus 10 degrees. Luckily, it's moving east, and we'll warm enough to have snow by evening. A couple of years ago I made the DDIL and DS#1 a tree skirt using Thimbleberries fabrics. She is from Brainard, MN..definitely a North Woods type girl and she love the lodge look. I'm not a Thimbleberries fan..but I bought enough at the end of the season to do a tree skirt for the next year. And now I've used nearly ALL the scraps and leftovers to make this 50" X 50" log cabin as a couch throw. I'll be adding borders from the lightest fabric with corner posts of half log cabin blocks. This kept me busy on Sunday and part of Monday. Today it gets borders. And I must put binding on the throat of the tree skirt as it leave here tonight with DD#1..thank goodness! Posted by Picasa

warm clothing weather here too just no snow in our area. Maybe I will get my Christmas wish for snow. Now that I have seen so many beautiful quiltworks of yours I no longer can pick a favorite cause they are all favorites!

Sheesh Finn! Do you sleep? Eat? You're always so busy stitching...good for you!!!

I never tire of seeing a log cabin in any setting or any fabric choice. They're going to be delighted!

Is this the "infamous tree skirt" that you're finishing up? Hope we get to see it before it leaves.

Warm up enough to snow? Oh, my gosh.

Your quilts are so beautiful. I love the colors, the patterns, everything. And you finish so much. Wow.

Oh it is freezing south of you also! Just a tad warmer but not much!

You may not like thimbleberries, but it looks great! Is DDIL and DS#1 going to get it to go with their tree skirt?

nice log cabin. I like the single light print with the mix of darks.
