On 1/1/05 I put an empty half gallon jar behind my sewing machine, on the table where I sew. I love little quirky things, and I wondered how many spools of thread I'd finish this year. Well, today is the last day of '05, and here is my jar and empty spools..*VBS* The larger white spools number 10 and that's 4000 yds right there. Since I don't machine quilt all of this thread was used to sew seams...probably make sense to no one but me, but that's ok....*G* I like who I am...and I can say "it's fun being me"..*VBG*

Oh what a fun idea! I throw all my old spools in a bag, I wonder how many there are? Hmmmmm - the question is am I curious enough to dig them all out!
This is great, Finn.
This is the first year I've ever "finished" an entire spool of thread. What a great way to see your progress.
You are so much fun. I bet we could have a great time if we could sit and quilt together. :)
Happy New Year.

That is a fun idea Finn! You must've had a lot of seams last year! ;o)

What a fantastic idea ! I am going to get one of my big gallon jugs out right now and put it by my sewing machine. I think that you had a splendid idea in doing this. I am impressed !
What a great idea. I might try that starting tomorrow. Happy New Year to all. Dorothy
This is a great way of seeing just how much got done in a year. Hope there weren't too many "unsewing" sessions with those yards and yards of seams. :-)
Should we see who has the most at the end of 2006? I just hope my kids don't discover how great the spools are for their "Art" projects!
Happy new year!

Oh my gosh, you are a sewer extraoirdaire. I am incredibly impressed that you've sewn that much. Wow, think I've finished maybe two spools. Good for you and may you continue to be so productive and have so much fun in 2006.
Thats impressive...you've covered alot of 'miles' sewing. Must be a good feeling. *vbs*
