Backing? Or quilted with free form fans just as it is..?*VBG* This is a rather elderly yardage of fabric from The Alexander Henry Collection. Probably late 1980's or early 1990's. It's old enough for the selvedge to just say the AH collection..no designer got credit. I have loved this fabric forever, but it never seems to make itself into anything. Not right for any quilt I've been making. I dug it out today to use as backing..but maybe net??? What do you think??? It's brighter than the picture shows. Posted by Picasa

Boy, you could call this fabric vintage even. I love the idea of putting a border on it and then quilting fans over it. You save the fabric that way and really showcase it. Why use it for a backing when you love it?

This looks like a print I have by an artist named Rizzi. We bought it in the late 80's or early 90's. It's caroony cityscape. Wonder if there's a connection. Anyway a great fabric.
Why not use it as a focus fabric in a border? Conventional, but it would show more.
