A close up to show the detail of the quilting. There is none on the bow ties themselves, but with the background grid quiledt at 1", the bows rise slightly. It was a pretty flat batting..an older Mountain Mist, back before we had Warm and Natural or the other new batts. And clamshells in the big triangles, I like clamshells..*VBS* Posted by Picasa

Finn...I like the way the background was quilted...those half rounds, is that what you mean by the clam shells?

How fun! I think I have pieces of almost every one of those fabrics in my stash!

An "aging" stash is sometimes the best stash, don't you think?

Finn, I love bowties. In fact, I have one little quilt that reminds me a bit of yours that a friend made, by hand, also on point. Cindy added buttons to hers but told me I had it hanging up upside down when she visited me. Supposed to be like men's shirt collars---oops!

What a charming little quilt. I think I have scraps of most of the prints too. Great minds think alike?

I like clamshells too. I love that you have so many quilts to share...
