Desi Loves Lucy, Joanie loves ChaChe, Ross Loves Rachel, Franke Loves Johnnie, and so it goes.... I DO NOT love Aunt Gracie or any of her kissing cousins. And she has many. Will I EVER see the end of the Aunt Gracie fabric in pastels? Do I have it in red, white and blue also? Will they ever quit making it? Does Darlene Zimmerman have to come up with such neat traditional quilts using it? Hmmmmmm? But a victory for me...ANOTHER FINISH!!! My ovn version of 9 patches and hourglass. I match the side of the triangle to the color of the 9 patch it touches..*VBG* Gives you a neat "boxed" loo, and that is what you see instead of 9 patches and hourglasses..*S* Pretty much means ypu ahve to lay out the hourglass blocks tho. Posted by Picasa

Cute quilt! I don't like 30's prints but for some odd reason tend to purchase them. I think it is the connection to Grandma and remembering what her quilts looked like.

Another pretty quilt. I've never worked with pastels, but the Kal Kat quilt is turning into a Valentine's/Easter quilt.

Your pastel quilt is so full of Spring. I can just see it in a little girl's room on a white bed with dolls piled on top.

Too cute!

What a great setting for the good old 9-patch! I try to work with pastels but the quilts seem to end up bright :-)

That is very pretty! Thinking of you tonight and thought I'd hurry over. My friend spent the day with me and we played flute/cello duets and made our husbands collage Valentine cards. What fun!! well, its late, I must get to bed. Just want to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!

Sorry you seem to have a never-ending supply of pastels, but at least you made a cute quilt out of it. I'd probably just grumble about it and never sew anything...

Oh my gosh, Finn! I'm so glad that I'm down here alone...for I had to LOL at your statement:

Does Darlene Zimmerman have to come up with such neat traditional quilts using it?

I love Darlene's work...but I'd have to agree. I don't have a true fondness for 30's either.

Your little 9-Patch/Hourglass is adorable! Darlene would be smiling!

Finn, I have a bunch of 30's FQ's I don't know what to do with but you've given me some ideas with this cute quilt. Nice work!
