Scrap Happy...and my most recent "finish". This one is just back from longarm quilting, and now has it's binding also. I'm just thrilled to have this one finished and ready to put on my bed. I know it's not a big deal for all you gals who long arm quilt your quilts as you make them...but for me it's the different between a few days or weeks, and months and months of hand quilting. I just had it meandered, edge to edge, as it is a simple quilt and intended for daily use and comfort. A very special thanks to my long arm quilter..she's wonderful..and I'm so appreciative that she fit this in between other quilts that were getting much more quilting than mine..*VBS*

MMMMmmm!!! I love this. That blue color is wonderful! But aren't 9-patches always the best!
Ooohhh finn this is lovely !! both I like also the ninepatch with black :c)
Congrats on having it done and on the bed -- isn't it cozy to crawl in under a quilt?!!
This kind of scrappy classic utility quilt is my absolute favorite!!!
I love the blue offsetting squares. Great quilt!
Your quilt is beautiful and I would be the happiest person in the world if I could make a quilt that looked as good as your's *VBS*.
I just forgot to tell you, that I love the name of your site,
"Pieces From My Scrapbag"
it fits perfectly.
The piecing and fabrics are so wonderful. The quilting is pretty, too.
I bet it's fun to send out a top and have it come back all quilted.
Thanks for the great pictures. I loved the sunshine dancing on your quilt.
Hugs.

what a lovely quilt! Seems like you are in that stash and finishing projects ALL of the time.
I plod along ... but I have learned how to finish, appreciate that it was as good as I could do for the place I am in my life.
Finn - Nithing better than a simple nine patch! Thanks for sharing!

Finn that is one gorgeous quilt!! It looks so comfy and I'm sure will keep you nice and warm during those cooooooold Wisconsin evenings. Such a beautiful scrappy creation you've made. :o)
Finn, as usual, another beatiful quilt. Thanks for sharing.
Finn,
GREAT quilt! Finishing a quilt is such a great feeling! Thanks for the eye candy!
Hugs

Finn, thanks for your comments over on my blog. As to your quilt...OMG, it's gorgeous! Isn't it amazing how some of the simplest patterns are the most striking? I love your blue alternate blocks...that was an inspired choice. I may have to make something like this as a summer quilt for my bed...how big are the blocks? thanks, Carolyn
I love the quilt and it's "country" look. Congrtas on a lovely finish.
This looks gorgeous on the bed. The blue alternate squares is an unusual colour and I love the way it looks with the scrappy 9-patches. It just so cuddly-looking LOL. Great job!:-)
Oh Finn - that is my kind of quilt! Scrappy is the best. And so is the humble 9-patch. I never tire of making it. How fun to have a new quilt for your bed!
LOVE IT! And I can really understand how it must feel to have someone long arm quilt it for you. I'm hopeless when it comes to machine quilting, so torture myself with months of hand quilting. But I'm really thinking of taking the easy (though more expensive) option on my next few quilts.
Ahhhh... I absolutely love this 9-patch quilt. I'm going to put it on my "to-do list" in the same colors and everything. Give me this kind of quilt any day over fancy-schmancy quilts. It's hands down prettier.
Finn this is mesmerising! My eyes run up all the different pathways depending on what angle you've photographed it on. Congratulations on this new addition to your family :)
