This top is about 72 X 84, and Betsy whipped it up since last Wednesday when we basted. We got this one pinned in and some of the basting done before I had to leave.

Betsy's quilt looks like the cover quilt on the current American Patchwork & Quilting.... If she got it done since it was published - send me some of what ever it is that she is on!
O.K. after spending the weekend drooling over the magazine with your friends quilt in it, i have to ask - hers is yellow background (scrappy?) with red and green? Anything I missed?
I am considering yellow (scrappy) with dark purples, dark blues & dark greens. Sound good? I ask because I then go back and say - just get a bunch of pinks, browns, burgundies & greens with your gift certificate and make the one in the magazine.
Or use scrappy lights (wow, coc, tan, taupe, etc.) with scrappy darks.....
To think I bought the magazine for the Smithsonian article...
