Friends and cousins....Jessica and Alisen are two of the little girls I've given snuggle quilts to, over the years. I love scraps, and making scrappy quilts gives me great joy. I made the one on the right for Alisen for her birthday in Sept. Her Dad is my new son in law. Al is an only child and she and her cousin Jess, are inseperable. Not wanting any little thing to come berween them, I made and utility quilted one for Jessica also. Both were flannel backed, as the girls are showing you. Those 12" friendships stars are pretty clunky, but you sure can see the fabric that way...*VBS* Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

you are so very thoughtful to not leave out cousin Jess! Adorable quilts and they certainly seem to be in heaven with them...nothing beats making a snuggly quilt for a child! hugs
Treasures both in quilts and in the children ! Those are the kinds of quilts that give comfort and security just when they are needed. I think those are the quilts that have given generations memories that spark new generations to try their hand at the craft.
Thank you for sharing that picture.
I love the quilts and the girls' big smiles. Also love the quilt behind them on the couch. It's lovely to have some more quilts finished and much appreciated.
What adorable girls with their wonderful quilts you made! The quilt behind them is not too shappy either, LOL. You can tell you were a mom and around kids to know how they keep "score".

I'm only half done with this Jewel Box because I have to watch the chains and one of the fabrics on the HSTs is a directional print. I'm trying not to have the animals in the print standing on their heads or laying down. Slower going in any case.
Lovely scraps quilts you are making :) I am so much looking forward to deep dive into my scraps again, after a long time of doing have-to-do projects both quilting and embroidery wise
What neat gifts. Tghe girls look like they are very excited and happy to have them. They are very fortunate. Great picture.
Finn,
This picture is too cute for words! Such a heartfelt gift! Thanks for sharing!

The smiles say it all! Wonderful! And, I think 12" blocks is a great way to showcase some fun fabrics! Those are 2 very happy girls!
Cheers!

The little girls are so cute and they look like they're proud of their beautiful quilts.
What a lovely pair of quilts (even steven) and girls. So nice of you to include the cousin. I like the big chunky pieces too.
What a generous and thoughtful soul you are, Finn! Those two little darlings will love their quilts for years and years!
What an adorable picture of the girls with their quilts!
