Saturday Sewing & Sunday Show....I had a pile of these 6.5" cake stand blocks in my UFO's. I had been in a nickle swap and had LOTS of 5" squares that aren't "my thing" in fabric. So I began this quilt. Only took 18 blocks to let me know I didn't love it enough to make a big quilt. And so they have sat and sat since about 2001. Recently I had a brain storm that if I add triangles, I'd get a bigger block, and could be done with this. Yesterday I pieced 6 more of these, bring the total to 24. Set 4 X 6 I can get a 36" X 54" top. I'll add 2.5" borders, and it'll be the right size for a donation quilt..*S* Posted by Picasa

Yeah for you, Finn!!! You're so smart! It looks like the triangles were just meant to be.
