Something new begins......

And it's not from scrap! Are you amazed?? Me too..*G* Everything is cut from FQ's and my stash. All the background is the same, and each fabric is just being used in one block. Might keep the setting posts all the same..haven't decided as yet. Was auditioning the magenta you see at the bottom of the picture. The block is called Aunt Lizzie's Choice.

See, you CAN use your stash! But I bet you also generated LOTS of scraps for the scrap basket. :-)

I like it & if you are asking for opinions, I prefer 1 corner stone fabric.... but I also like the scrappy 9 patch secondary design.... So I am not much help after all...

It may not be your usual quilt, but really neat looking nevertheless. Those colors are so very bright and happy! I like the colors for your "experimental sashing" - I'd go with them. I's going to be fun seeing how this turns out.

So many bloggers are showing bright quilts - does it have anything to do with the end of winter I wonder?

Finn,
LOVE IT! Of course I am a "brights" person! ;o) I love the way the cornerstones make the cool 9P's as a secondary pattern! very cool!!!

I love the brights Finn. Not what I usually work with but they are so "Happy" that I'll have to try to change my buying habits LOL

How fun! I did these blocks this winter using dark Thimbleberries and liked that - but I definately like your bright, cheery ones better! My block name is Grandmother's Choice, but same block. I love how there are different names.

Cheers!
