"What a difference a day made, 24 little hours............" well, in this case it was 72 hours since I showed you WI in March on Friday. Weather is what happens while you were making other plans. This is what I woke up to this morning. We knew it was coming..have been under a winter storm watch the past day and a half. This is the same looking south east shot I took on Friday. The landscape has changed...and this was at about 9 this morning. The winds are gusting, and it has rained, thunder and lightening, sleet and finally snow. The drifts out by the roads are now about 3 feet high, and still it blows and snows. But I shopped in the sunshine on Saturday, so I'm good for whatever comes..except a power outage...if that happens, I DO have enough quilts to keep warm, and I can always quilt to pass the time. Hope all of you are safe and warm and NO ONE was in last nights tornadoes in ILL. Hugs to all...Finn

Oh your neighborhood looks like Christmas card paintings. :)
So beautiful, but I'd have to hibernate until Spring.
Stay warm, Dear Finn. And I bet you'll love your quilts even more today.

I love to look at snow but don't want to be out in it LOL. Love the UFO quilts you've finished. The Cake Stand and Bow Ties look great.
WOW Finn!! What a difference and if we scroll down past the quilts we have your practically snowless home to compare the pictures to.
So glad that you stocked up on Saturday. Now you can snuggled up with your quilts and create more quilts.
Stay in and stay warm...and I sure hope you don't lose power because you won't be able to check on your blogger friends when you take a break from quilting.
We have been having storm warnings all day and until 9pm tonight. They come and they pass very quickly...that's what the storms have been doing all day.
Today, I discovered the Quilt Shop 2 minutes from my house. In fact we have many shops which sell handsewn quilts. They are even quilted by hand...maybe I'm not saying it right, but the squiggly figure eight designs that are usually done by a machine after you have finished the top are also hand sewn. The whole quilts are hand sewn.
I live in a town that is known for crafts. In fact it's billed as the Arts & Craft Capital of the World. I think you would simply love it. There are quilts everywhere.
I loved your snow pictures...aren't these digital cameras just great. I don't know what I would do without my camera and my computer.
Well, what I was going to say was that your snow pictures are like a picture postcard.
Boy, that's a lot of snow, Finn! I'm definitely ready for Spring, but we'll have snow most of the week instead. :-(

Wow ! That is lots of snow. We were 89 yesterday and will be 39 tonight. Time to fire up the woodstove again. But even with it that "cold" for us, I fear there is no snow in the forcast.
Have some hot chocolate and enjoy the view
quite the storm you danced up Finn!
as if you needed an excuse to snuggle up with a quilt or just stay in and quilt...but it sure is more fun when it's cold out!
Finn,
I just LOVE a great snowstorm...even if it is the middle of March! It is such a beautiful gift from Mother Nature. Thanks for sharing and I hope you are staying warm and doing quilty things!
Hugs
Laurie
PS(how much did you end up getting?)
Wow Finn! I'm still laughing about you having enough quilts to snuggle under!!
We had another 86 farenheit (30 celcius for us Aussies) here in Canberra. Could the contrast be more stark?!
Beautiful photos. It's amazing how snow makes everything look so clean :)
Brrr. That looks cold but beautiful. I am sure my Baby Bear would love this. He doesn't get to see much of this like I used to as a child.
I hope you keep warm in your quilts.
