ESPECIALLY FOR MY VERY PATIENT FRIEND, TONYA!!! At long last, Ton, the quilt I have been saying I would show you. I'm still up to my elbows in sawtooth stars, so for the next few days I'll be giving you a row by row look at this wonderful quilt I got for my 60th birthday, back in 2000. It was made for me by my dear, dear friend Betsy. Everything about this quilt is fun, and quite tongue in cheek. It's a row quilt, and taken from botton to top, a history of Betsy's quilting growth. That's why the liberated stars are actually the bottom, but also the top. The history and explaination are on the label. I absolutely LOVE this quilt. It would be impossible to be unhappy around it..*VBS* Posted by Picasa

A wonderful quilt! Thanks for sharing it. It inspires me to make a piece with wonky circles ... maybe in a crinkle quilt ... mmmmm.

fabulous colors Finn ! They look wonderful with the dark blue. Seems like you would only have happy dreams sleeping under a quilt like that. You did good !

What a fabulous quilt. I love the use of color and, of course, the liberation. Did Betsy applique or piece those curves?
