Pieces from my scrapbag...literally. This is where I sew day by day. My faithful little Pfaff, my sewing clutter and my north facing window. The machine sits on an old hardwood desk with a single drawer. It's the right size and right height for me. The pieces that you see around the machine are the beginning of the next quilt I "owe", so to speak..*G* This isn't a "have to" quilt, it's a "want to" quilt...which makes things easier. See picture below for reference. AND...I've managed to add some April into May projects to my sidebar...*VBG* Posted by Picasa

Wahoo--learning how to do more HTML and list writing in the sidebar! Good job.

I like knowing what the view in your work room looks like. I face the window on my little sewing table when I'm piecing. When quilting, butt up against the desk and the opposite wall.

I'll post some pics of that at some point on my spot.

The blocks are looking cute and scrappy---just the way we like them! I often think I should be more in a scrap quilting ring but I make planned quilts too--must be right where I belong then?

No binding today for me unless it is later this evening. Off to finish up those danged hearts--my goal for the day.

What a fun picture. I love seeing pictures of people's machines and their work spaces (play spaces).

It inspires me to keep working on my spot.

That quilt is so cute.

Finn, we have almost the same machine! I have a Pfaff 1475 which I bought used a very long time ago. I love my machine, it's a workhorse! I have quilt pieces laying by my machine too...I'll have to get to work on them!

Finn you are very lucky having the perfect desk! I have to use our dining room table and it's too high. I sit on a cushion but it's still uncomfortable.

It's nice that you have a window (north facing) to gaze out of when you need a break or a moment's inspiration.

I dream of the day when we own a home big enough for a ... sewing room!!!!!!

Finn...Isn't it wonderful to have your own private, just for yourself sewing room? You can leave things as you want them. Can't wait to see your finished quilt for little Sam.

I remember when I used to sew little dresses for my girls I either had to get the project done right away or put everything away each day & drag it back out the next day...what a chore.
I also used the dining room table & that meant the machine also had to be moved for each meal.

It's so nice to see your space where your quilts are made.

Your sewing area is delightful, you can look up and see the world around you yet still be in your own little quilting world. I like that. My sewing table faces west.

Oh I would love to sew by a window! My sewing area is in our unfinished basement. No windows and dark - BUT - it is my little area and I can leave things out and messy! So I wouldn't give that up for anything!

Over 40 yers, my history for sewing place moved from temporary use of kitchen table to sharing a room that was suppose to be a den but we called it a toy room, then to sharing the spare bedroom and finally a dedicated room. All this in the same house.

It's great, isn't it Finn, to be able to look out your window and see the living things around you? And to feel the fresh breezes in the warmer weather....

I love my Pfaff too! It's not used a whole lot anymore...but it's certainly still very well-loved!

How neat and organized you are...I might have known...smile. Nice that your desk is just the right height. I went from an old treadle case to just putting my new machine on a table...so they suggested at the store getting an office desk chair that can be raised or lowered to the right height...and it works. Still, nothing can replace my old case...I say longingly..smile. Hope all things are well with you..I always come see you when I'm online...you are my adopted relative....*vbs* & hug!

You and Lucy both sew by a window and it seems like the perfect setup. I think someday I'd like to have a sewing room facing the street so I can watch everything as it unfolds.
