The front of the shop, and a quilt from the "Around the Twist" class. That's my pal Betsy on the right, way back when. The quilt belongs to Cheryl, on the left. It's basted and ready for hand quilting.
I went to a quilt show once where you could tell that "Around the Twist" had been a fairly recent workshop---half the show was this quilt in all its infinite variations of colors. Good for all ladies actually finishing something up from class but not so good for all the quilt show attendees since there was not a lot of variety.
Still, it is a fun quilt to do. I made a small one for the kids way back in 2000 or so. One that I wouldn't mind revisiting since it looks so much harder than it is.
