In this close up you can see there are some wrinkles and puckering, but not more than there should be. I quilted this with a 100 % cotton batt from Airtex and expected some shrinkage and wrinkling. What I was concerned about(but not overly) is that it's NOT quilted in the white background. I had planned to machine quilt in the ditch where the block meets the lattice. But there is only about 5" from the quilt line in the star to the quilt line in the lattice. So I decided to just let things be and see what happens. If it bothers me, I can still run machine quilting down those block sides.

Looks like it's worked well - your quilt has a really cosy, friendly look to it (if a quilt can be so!). The scrappy colours show up really well.
hmmm, I may have to try setting a bunch of nine patches I have in a layout like that. :)
Thanks for the washing info.
I tend to be of the camp the believes most quilts should be designed to be used and loved - and that you should even plan for most wall-hangings to get the occasional wash, if not dry.
Of course, I'm not quilting at the prize winning heirloom level either... lol
