Retail Therapy..Chapter 2

When I bought the polka dotted fabrics last Wednesday, I also picked these up out of the sale bin. $2.50 a yard. There were lots more but I settled for these as my favorites. Love the little red houses and green pine trees..*VBS* The yellow is called Spring Fling, and love the shade of yellow in the background. I have no purpose in mind for these either. I've donated about 60 yards of fabric so far this year, and I feel ok about adding the 4 and a half yards I bought last week..*VBS*
On the sewing front, I have to proclaim "I SEWED, I SEWED" this morning. I made the first cuts and did the first piecing on a butterfly fabric challenge I've been included in...*VBS* Thanks Cher! Thanks Linda!
It won't be specatcular or a prize winner, but it will be fun, I hope. Time to catch up on some household stuff, and then I can sew a bit more...oh happy day!!!
Hugs for everybody who wants or needs one.

Of course you deserve this fabric, and at that price how could you resist! It's good to hear that you are back sewing - we're eager to see what you are up to this time. Knowing you it will be wonderful and will display the "Finn Touch".

Yeah Finn -- glad you are sewing again. I'll be waiting anxiously to see what you have done. Don't you love retail therapy? It is so much more satisfying and less expensive than actual therapy and you have something to show for it at the end of the day.

Yay for Finn :)

Nice choices. The red and green one says Christmas to me - I am very programmed into Christmas don't you think?

I need a hug. It's 2am here and I just got off the phone from a teleconference with my US colleagues. Off to bed again!

I see you doing the happy dance. :-) Hopefully after this weekend I'll be able to sew again. But I have family coming in for a birthday party (great niece turns 1!) so my sewing room has once again become the repository of everything we can't find another place for. LOL!

Those are great fun fabrics - right up your alley! I am sure they will find their way into a happy quilt. Sew on - and enjoy!

Cheers!

My fav would be the yellow one but then yellow is probably one of my fav colors. Good shopping there!

My mom has her butterfly challenge done and even quilted--sent it back with me last month but most of us are still in the thinking stages. I heard a couple of great ideas yesterday from some of the girls. Cher is sending me the last 1/2 yard in captivity since one other person wanted some. Mine is not cut out yet so you are one up on me--though I know what I am going to be doing.

Glad you were able to get some sewing done--bet it felt great!

The fabric is lovely, but I have to say I'm so glad you're sewing! We all have lulls at times, but there's always time to get going again!

Nothing beats retail therapy - put me back on track a few days ago. Fancy buying fabric for $2.50 per yard - so cheap. I am making myself look twice at yellow fabric lately, as it is something I never buy. It is a great colour to have in a scrap quilt, that and red, so I am trying to re-educate my eyes not to slip over it.

I like this wording "retail therapy" *VBS*... I did a dab of that today myself ... not fabric...I got a super buy on a new set of sheets in a rosey red color... prefect for our bedroom!

Your new fabs are bright and cheery they will be fun to work with! :O)
