Endings, beginnings and birthdays......

Endings and Beginnings...
it's that time again.
Me completing the 65th
year, and standing ready
to step out into #66. Every
year past the 52nd year has
been a 'good' year. My mom
had died at age 52, and I did
wonder if I would live longer
Well, I did. And I've overjoyed
at that fact. I'm even beginning to consider the
possibility that I could live into my 70's and 80's.
How's that for optimism???
Friend Betsy invited me to have supper with them last evening, and we were joined by another friend. It was a nice evening. They sang happy birthday to me, which I always find embarrasing, and put candles on my apple cake.
I didn't get to have the birthday celebration with my kids last Sunday, due to destructive nature of the 'bug' I had picked up. It was the only day most of them could have come to visit, so it's a bit depressing. But life goes on, and I have had so many lovely cards and birthday wishes from all of you great gals here in blogland. You truly make me feel special....*VBS* And I thank you for all the cards, wishes and great hugs.
I managed to sew for a little yesterday, not much of anything, just joining up the blocks into rows(webbing the top) but it's a start. I think I'll go in and begin the webbing across the rows now, and maybe will have the top ready to go by tomorrow. Then I might actually be able to cross ONE thing off my Sept. goals list...*VBS* Hope every one is having a great day!

(((HUGS))) and belated birthday wishes to my good friend, Finn! I'm sorry to be late but my love and good wishes are as heartfelt today as they would have been yesterday. I'm sorry you didn't get the celebration with your family that you had hoped but it sounds like the celebration with friends was nice. Here's wishing you many, many, many more birthdays to come. VBS
