From last autumn, my pineapple log cabin. You've seen it before, but have no picture snapped for today.
I was "done in" by a rogue "bug" at 3 a.m. on Sunday. Many, many bathroom trips later and much, much sleeping...I am feeling almost human again today.
But I must shower, and get started on the 1st of the month stuff that I am already behind in doing. So for now, a autumn pineapple. Ebby is doing quite well. At the moment she's standing up on her hind legs and touching my arm over and over with her paw. Obviously it's something she wants, but I don't know the signal. She's decided I'm friendly, and obviously the "human" who is here to accomidate her. She's been fed and brushed. Not sure what is suppose to come next. She's sleeping on my bed, and finds my lap an ok place to be. She has even been playing alittle with her toys...I think we'll make it! *VBS*

Oh Finn, I'm so sorry to read that you've been under the weather. What is it about fall that seems to bring out various "bugs". I'm so glad it appears to be the 24 hour kind. We can't have our Finn "missing in action". Hugs and positive thoughts for health coming your way.

sorry you've been hit by a roving bug, but hopefully it's eally roved on... Ebby probably just wants to tell you she's there -- mine if they're feeling neglected will do that to get my attention in the hopes I'll stop what I'm doing and pet/brush them some more. :-)

If she's allowing you to sleep with her, she's sitting in your lap, and she's pawing your arm....I'm sure this is a match that was meant to be!!! LOL

So sorry, dear Finn, that you have been feeling poorly! Hope that's all over now, and you're back to your dear self. I (most selfishly) am always disappointed when I click on your blog and you have been away. :( So hope that all is back to normal for you!! Hugs, Angie

Maybe Ebby knew you didn't feel well and was patting your arm to make it all better? Glad to hear you two are getting along.

Hi Finn, I go away for a week and I miss the big event. I am so happy Ebby has found you. You do have a very precious daughter. Give Ebby a scratch from me.

Sounds like you are both going to make it; it's sure no fun being sick though.

Ebby maybe just wants your attention...or her litter box cleaned out. *LOL* One of my kittens has to have a clean litter box without lumps in it. HA ha So it goes outside most of the time. You'll eventually get to know what Ebby's actions mean because if you don't do what she asks...she will keep asking until you get it right.

Sorry the bug chased you down and caught you. But I'm glad that you are better today.

Your Ebby sounds like the icing on the cake. Cats have such an air of contentment. Love those feelings & sounds. Hope you are feeling more like yourself...my hubby is down with the same flu..I think. I'm terribly lazy tonight, and must go practise. Thinking of you though, and wishing you blessings.

Trusting that you're all back to normal by now!

It sounds like you and Ebby are settling right down into 'regular' life together :)

Sorry you were ill, but glad to hear that you two are bonding.

Taps from my two usually mean, "pet me." (Or share some of that chicken!)

Hope you're feeling better soon! Those rogue "bugs" can be nasty. I'm glad to hear the Ebby is getting comfortable in her new place.

I think she was wanting to play a game... lol

Mine love the selvage edges I trim off and drag around the floor for them... and especially if I drop it through a paper towel tube and make the fabric slither into the tube and disappear. :)

Glad you're feeling a little better!

Your pineapple log cabin is wonderful! Sorry you've been feeling bad. Sounds like poor Ebby just wants to be loved! :) And I hate to tell you, but you'll laugh, when my eyes flew over the text of the blog before I read it I thought you had written it was time to take your first of the month shower! Wheh! I'm glad that isn't true!

Love the colors, Finn in the quilt! When my Bonnie stands up and pats my arm and looks so lovingly into my eyes, she is wanting me to let her jump up into my lap, or lift her up. I am usually sitting at the computer when she does it - and of course, I let her. That's when my writing starts looksfing a loj9 ttle bit weirthy!

Sorry about your bug, Finn. Ebby is just comforting you...or wanting her tummy rubbed...or wanting a lap. ;-) She sounds very calm and well-mannered.

Your Pineapple Log is gorgeous!

I get that signal all the time!! It means stop polaying on the computer, bend down your arm and SCRATCH ME!! Head, belly, no matter. She just wants attention!!

I've gotten good at leanign over and scratching while doing computer stuff! Glad you are feeling better, and sorry you got sick. Yuck! Hope it's the only time this winter!

Hi Finn. Hope you are feeling better. Kitty sounds like a gem. Mine used to knead me with her paws. Another term of affection was a head bump! Your pineapple is wonderful!

Gorgeous quilts in the last two posts. Sure hope you are feeling better--a touch of food poisoning or something?

I was getting the kitty taps at 4:30 this morning--at my house it means get up and check my food bowl, LOL. Ebby, was that you were up to?

Finn,
Great quilt! I LOVE IT!!! I hope you are feeling better so on as well!

Hope you feel better soon, Finn :)
Paw taps from one of mine means he wants me to feed him. That's better than the other one who scrapes his teeth along the lamp shade to get what he wants. He knows how to push my buttons! LOVE your pineapple quilt. Pretty.

I am running behind, so I hope you are feeling ever so much better now. Glad that you and Ebby are getting well acquainted. It's good to know you understand who is boss *s*
