Ebby laying on her side..*S* Which probably seen a strange thing to take a picture of...much less share on the web. But it's a HUGE break through. If today is the 28th, she's been here two months. What has changed?? Well, lots of little things, but this is major. What magic did I perform...*VBG*? I put the electric blanket across the foot of my queen size bed. I'd been sleeping in a twin size bed since I sold my house. Back in April I bought a queen size bed. My twin size EB won't do exactly the same duties, but is still useful. My feet were cold Friday night after my drive home, so I pull it out and put it across the bed, sideways,Ms. Ebby discovered it and I found her sleeping stretched on her side. From whisker to tip of tail...one long, stretched out cat. You can see she has white on her belly. Actually she has two almost perfect white circles where a bikini top would be, and a nice white V down lower. I still chuckle at Susan, from Patchwork Reflections say, "an overweight black cat in a white bikini"..LOL She definitely is that!
I've just left the blanket on low for now, and I must say that she is one very relaxed, happy and sleepy cat.

Oh yeah, if nothibg else, cats are heat magnets!
Ahhh - all the comforts that a girl desires *s*
My cat used to spread herself out over a baseboard heat register so none of the heat could get through. So nice to see Ebby's lower side. VBS
This look like a very pleased and satifyed cat. Showing her tummy like this shows she is feeling safe.
what luxury -- she looks very content...
Ahh, heat, the great relaxer. No wonder your gal Friday is so happy! We stretch out just like this too when I heat the socks filled with rice in the microwave and put them about our feet and neck...what bliss...grin.
Ebby looks like she has found home, I have 4 heating pads scattered thruout the house for our cats, they even fight over the best one. Nancy in MT
That is one happy cat. Bloglines seems to have stopped notifying me that you had updated and I didn't realize until I happened to drop in to your blog and found lots of posts that I hadn't seen. It seems Bloglines is not to be totally trusted. Now I am going to check all my contacts and see if anyone else has been lost.
Ebby looks like one super contented kitty. I didn't know cats liked heating pads and blankets.
What a contented kitty! She might just spend the winter there! She looks a bit bigger now!
:)
love this photo of Ebby- our Zoe lies in front of the fireplace...warmest spot in the house! we call it the puppy pacifier!
Ahh, but wouldn't a cat have to have a row of bikini tops, all the way down her belly?
*grins at image*
Your depression block looks good too!
It is just so wonderful to see how she has become so relaxed. You have done a great job. I think you all are perfect partners.
Great block!
I agree with Ebby, nothing like an electric blanket! She can keep your feet warm for you. It looks like she is settling very nicely. Thanks for the bikini shot!
Finn, I always so enjoy seeing what you(and now Ebby) are up to. I love all your scrappy blocks. I think I just decided on a 2007 resolution. All the quilts I make will be scrappy! Lord knows I have enough fabric to do that several years! Especially if the work hours continue and my quilting time is as limited as it has been recently. :( Not to mention the fact that our new grandson will be here soon!
Hi Finn, your posts weren't showing up on my bloglines, and I thought you were away for the Thanksgiving! I've just discovered that you actually HAD posted several posts that I had missed, so I've just spent some time reading your last several posts and catching up! :) I'm so glad you had a good Thanksgiving, with friends and family! And Ms Ebby certainly does look like she's loving that electric blanket!! LOL
Warm and happy kitty: marvelous. Glad to see your sweetie pie.
You have really tamed that cat! Or has shee trained you? I mean how many cats get an electric blanket?!
Sio
She sure looks happy to be living with you!
Too cute!!!
I have an electric throw and only one of my cats has discovered it. But I'm not sure she understands that it was the blanket that made her feel so toasty. I'm guessing she thinks all the planets were perfectly aligned that night and she magically got extra warm.
Yep, that is one contented happy warm kitty!
You've found the way to her heart :)
Happy 2 month anniversary to Finn and Ebby! She sure does look content. :-) Mine would probably love an electric blanket but it doesnt' get cold enough here to need one so they'll never find out.
oh my! Ebby must be in "hog heaven". What a pretty belly on her. I wondered if she had any white anywhere and sure enough there it is.
Love that cat and the scrappy blocks, especially the lost one,- my favourite and often used HST pattern. Have a great day.
Yes, kitties certainly do love electric blankets. I gave my step-daughter my electric warming throw blanket to put on her dresser in order to keep her kitties from sleeping on her at night. Now she gets a good nights sleep, as the cats go for the throw. *LOL*
