not much, but something...*VBS* This is the top I've been piecing over the past couple of weeks. It's Christmas fabric swap squares. I probably should should have picked a pattern using nickle squares. But I didn't, I used this old timer, called Patience Corner. Today you probably know it as Bright Hopes. Right now it's 60" X 60". I have more of the parts made up, but I will try it on my table and see how it looks before I add any more. This second picture is of 1 block. It takes 4 focus squares, and then background added to two sides of each. It appears that they share, but as you make them...it's just two added to each square. Mindless sewing until you put 4 of them together to get a block.
As promised, here is one of my Tiny Teddy Bears as "parts". One ear still needs gathering. Then I will add them to his head. His arms and legs are ready for buttons that make him jointed. Maybe this evening that will happen...*S*
It's hard to believe it's Friday again...time is going way too fast. I have done little decorating as yet, but sure am enjoying seeing all the get holiday things you are pulling out. Gotta get busy and do that myself.

I love your quilt! I have been looking for a pattern to showcase my christmas fabric collection and this looks like it! This pattern will allow me to showcase the fabrics without cutting them into small bits. Some are very scenic and it would be a shame to loose the pictures. When I searched the internet I saw a suggestion of cutting the squares 4 1/2" and the light strips 2 1/2" wide to finish 4" and 2" respectively. What sizes did you use?
yes, do share your sizes as per Norma's request...looks fantastic Finn! what a sweet teddy bear that is going to become. loved your Christmas Angel story-that is what Christmas to me is all about-the love shared. big hugs
Great quilt! I love how the simplest of patterns make the best quilts!
The bear parts are very similar to the pattern I use, but mine are quite a bit larger. I have actually reduced the pattern on a copier to get a smaller one. Funny thing: the fabric behind the bear is some that I held in my hands this morning as I was rootleing in my stash before leaving for work. In all 3! colorways.
What a great quilt Finn. I've seen that block in books but never a picture of it used in a quilt. The block never interested me all that much but the quilt is stunning! What a great use of Christmas fabrics.
The little bear looks like he's going to be so Christmasy!
Way cool quilt! What a great way to use christmas squares!

I don't know that I've seen a quilt in this pattern before. Lovely way to feature fabrics. Great quilt.
