I've chosen the first project for 2007...*VBS*.... hopefully a jump start to move me onward. And as usual, before I could snap a picture, I had curious company..*S*
I'm going to be putting these square in a square (or HST's) together for a WTIL top for the Alabama project. I did one of these for Linda J. last fall, but have more blocks and HST's in a rubbermaid.
I'm hoping by tomorrow it might be to the flimsy stage. I've joined Linda and Norma in setting a goal of getting one UFO to the flimsy stage each month. So Norma, here's my January project..*VBS* I'm headed out the door shortly, to have lunch and thrift store
shopping with my friend Jean. The thrift store is always closed on Mondays, and that's her day off. She is using her New Years Day day today. And we can shop together, finally!!
I'm posting pics through blogger today, and I'm not very thrilled with how it loads them. I actually had put the sunrise picture in first..ya..everything is in backwards order. These last two pics are from 7 a.m. on January 1st. It seemed a good way to begin the year..*VBS* And yes, that is a tat of snow you see. Not enough to cover the grass, but that was because the wind was blowing a gale on New Years Eve. All the snow went elsewhere..LOL I'll be back soon with a few more pics from our Christmas on the 30th.
P.S. to KC Quilter *VBS*, it's just fine with me...what you asked about...*VBS* Anything, anytime is just fine....no problem here! Hugs, Finn

Ebby just wouldn't want to miss a photo opp. :-) Must be a starlet in the making...
I love your UFO plan.
Lovely little Ebby!
I like the look of those square in a square blocks. Nice & colourful, & quick to sew. That is what I need to get me started.
I know you like Cat Stevens..
I'm "On the road to find out"!
Glad you picked a project for January!! When I load pics in blogger I try to remember to load backwards but if not you can just grab the pic and move it to where you want it to be by clicking the pic to highlight it and then holding down the mouse and moving it up or down. I often move mine to space them out.
Can I ask ... what's the FLIMSY stage?
Another thing to remember in blogger is that after your photos are loaded you can highlight one, cut and then paste it back into your article wherever you'd like it to appear.
Looks like your helper is ready for action*s*
Ebby definitely approves of your new project! What a wonderful goal - a top a month - something I'd like to do too!
*hugs*

Happy New Year my dear Finn!
I'm getting my act together here -- started a scrappy 2007 project, too.
Hugs ~ Jeanne
Hi Finn
Love the blocks. They will make a great quilt. In blogger the photos always end up at the beginning so I just load the, do the text, then cut and paste the photos so they go where I want them. Maybe I'm not doing it right?
PS: What is the "flimsy" stage?
Yes Finn, what is the 'flimsy' stage?!
What a sight to wake to on New Year's Day. Lovely.
Yep, Blogger drives me mad the way it loads photos too!
Hi Sylvia, thanks for showing this. As usual, you have such a way with the scrappy style. If you have time go and look at my Dec. 15th entry(scroll down from the rant before it) and see the one I made my son, James from my stash of asian fabrics. I just love the ease of this pattern and the way it showcases the fabric.Yours is very lively!
Thank you so much, Finn! I love your writing. Also love the HST project. I'm thinking they would be so nice for my 5" squares from my mini-group swap.
Hey - great visual stimulation! Thanks ... mmm I have a box of those HST ... somewhere .. might get them out and see what they do. Your photos ia a great incentive.
Oh fun start to your 2007! Hope you have a wonderful year. No snow on our ground at all. In fact we have muddy grass all over our back yard!
Ebby, the quilting inspector at the ready! Of course, I think she likes them better when they have batting in them as they are more cushy--going by mine, LOL.
I loved that top you sent down before and it was a snap to quilt---simple zigzag and straight lines. It just looks like a "Finn" quilt too.
