Part 2..see part 1 below...

the finishing of the edge. She turned under the quarter inch(or there abouts) and did a running stitch that looks like quilting. The top and bottom edges
would have been straight. At this time, the backing has brought over and zigzagged down. Makes me think it's a fairly current repair to those edges. And since the damaged spots are at the top and bottom, it's probably from pulling the quilt up as you used it.
And here's Ebby....*VBS* I realized it's been a while since I snapped a pic of her. This is on the sheepskin that is in the hallway, right at the intersection of the bathroom door, and doors to the 2 bedrooms. She gets the warm air from all three rooms and it also gives her an excellent view of what's going on in the house..LOL She's getting to be a spoiled kitty with two sheepskins to choose from and all my quilts. She continues to adore TV, especially Animal Planet. She comes running for the Meerkat Manor series. Not sure what it is about those shy litle critters in Africa, but she doesn't miss a second of it. Posted by Picasa

I am not really a cat person, but for some reason I am very drawn to Ebby, & I love to see & read about her!
Your drum sounds just fine to me! But then I am a scrap happy person, & my mind tends to flit from here to there, without rhyme or reason.

Finn, I love the quilt you are showing now on your blog, what pattern is that? Great scrappy pattern!

Your balls of yarn in your chair look like a lot of crocheting and I dont blame the DD of your friend for wanting one of your rugs!!!!!!

Wonderful quilt Finn. I am responding also your post about your topics. Miss or skip your blog. NEVER!!!!!!!!! I love reading about your adventures, your rambling and your past. What a treasure. You certainly have the gift of writing, I wish I did, but very grateful God bestowed that on you. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to many more blog entries.

Oh, I do like the fabrics in the quilt, a different look than most quilts today, isn't it?

Hi, Ebby! What a doll she is. So cute the way she watches Meerkat Manor (whatever that is, I've never seen it but it definitely sounds like something a TV-watching feline would enjoy :-) ).

What a lovely quilt. If you love it, it certainly was worth the $70 in 88 or 89.

Glad to see Ebby again! I think the purpose of their existance is for us to spoil them!

That sure is a great find of a quilt, Finn. I always wonder what stories they would tell, too. I collect mixing bowls and think about the same when I'm using them. Glad to see Ebby again. *s*
