Post a note to Leslie: The pic you asked about was a card, and you may take it..*S* Post a note to Linda J, the personality test was fun...but I'm quite sure it was Sylvia(the responsible one) answering the questions. Finn is not nearly that dependable..LOL
Maybe I should take it again and let Finn answer..*G*
I'm 'bummin' today..was totally down for the count yesterday(read "chocolate brownies day"). The 'thing' in my left eye, that I had so painfully opened and drained on Monday is back bigger, by Tuesday morning. That's NOT what was suppose to happen. It was suppose to drain, let the antibotic drops heal it, and be gone forever!!! Ya...right! and then there's "me".
I have two options.. go back and have it done again....not even considering that right now. Or, let it run it's course til it opens itself, and drains. Trying to be 'adult' on Monday, I let him do his 'doctor' thing...big, big owies to have your eye lid frozen..lots of needle pokes, and no matter what he said, that was NOT a tiny needle!!!
So......................I'm trying to pull myself up and out of the dumps . At least the brownie thing was only yesterday..so far.
Betsy has invited me for a day of sewing and a sleep over if I want to, tomorrow. Her DH is out of town and we will have the place to ourselves..I think I can, I think I can...but snow is predicted, so we'll see. I don't drive in snow, as I can't tell where the edges of the road are...plain and simple. I have NO desire to be in the ditch.
I'm showing you my Delectable Mountains top(again) as I am debating taking off some blocks(it's 90 X 108) and then having it long arm quilted. Think I probably should try it across my queen size bed and see how it looks as is. It has no borders, and I would kind of like to add some. The blocks are 10", so not too hard to reduce the size. Anybody have any suggestions???

My suggestion is.... give it to me!!lol. It is gorgeous, love those scrap quilts.
So sorry you are still having trouble with your eye.
{{{{{hugs}}}}} to you and your bad eye. Get better.
I like these scrappy quilts without borders, but if you really want them, take off a row or two. You could use the extra blocks in the back or make a little throw to go with it. Hope your eye sorts itself out soon!
Oh Finn, I'm so sorry! What an awful thing to have to deal with! Sending lots of positive healing thoughts plus hugs too your way.
I've always loved that top. It would be fine without borders. However, if I were going to add some I think I would add a plain narrow border, then two or more likely three rows of half square triangles for a sort of sawtooth border. I know - just what you need - a reason to make a whole bunch more triangle squares. Then maybe you are like me, and already have a big box of triangle squares that you could use. Then I'd put a wider border outside the triangle squares. The three borders together could replace the rows of blocks you take off.

(Putting on my email address because I probably come through as "anonymous no-reply" now that I changed my blog.)
Finn, sorry to hear about the eye problem. I will pray all goes well. I don't have any suggestions about the delectable mountains, it sure is a beautiful quilt. It will work okay the length it is.
Hiya Ms. Finn :O)... I don't know that quilt looks awfully good as is, but if you want borders then you should add them! It will be beautiful either way!
I so hope your eye heals for you and you do not have to go thru that lancing again! OUCH...
Maybe your friend will come pick you up and take you back home so ya'll can have a girls night while her dh is gone :O)...
What a fun quilt!
I am so sorry that your eye is not being cooperative. You poor thing. Know that if you were here...or if I were there...I'd be baking you some bread...and making you a big pot of homemade soup. That wouldn't heal your eye, I know...but it would sure make us both feel better, wouldn't it?
Hugs to you!
Lots of sqeezy, cozy hugs coming to you. I do hope your eye decides to cooperate soon. I hope the brownies helped, I know things like that help me. Take it easy -- you'll be back in fine form quickly that way. Take care *s*
I hope your eye gets better - I'd vote for no border.... But if you really want one - pinwheels would be fun, since the delectible mountains spin too.
I love your mountains quilt--at the size it is now, taking off a few blocks might leave enough for two quilts!
Good luck with the eye thing.
So sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope your eye gets better quickly. You're smart not to drive in the snow. That Delectable Mountain quilt is so beautiful. I love your fabric selection! I know DM is something I want to make someday.
Bad luck that your eye is still no better, can't say I blame you for not going back after the experience the first time, hope it sorts itself out soon. I'm with the Amy, the Calico Cat, I love the quilt just as it is, without borders.
