The one pattern piece is shown here. I can tell you it is 4 7/8" X 2.5". Which would finished at 4" X 2"..except for that triangle join up to the next piece. The finished size of the ACTUAL piece is 2" X 4" X 2"high because it has 3 'parts' that need measuring.
If this is something you would want to do, and need more directions, drop me a line. I promise you don't really need a pattern, or if YOU do, you can make it quite easily.
Quilt Pixie asked if the book is about one patch only..for the most part, yes. There are 7 or 8 pages like the one below with a one patch shape that could be used. Then there is ONE page that gives you a few shapes they call "for mulitple patterns" a couple of them are two part and one is a three part. And of course they suggest that variations on a theme include the triangle or diamond used with hexagon, or a square used used with snowball shapes.
This is pretty typical of any one of the pages of possible shapes. This is the simplest set of Triangles, they have MANY that are more complicated. A wide variety. And a page of curved shapes like the Apple Core. I will scan a couple of more tomorrow, or later tonight...if the computer co-operates! Last of all I give you one of my many One Patch Quilts.

Libby was saying she had only made ONE quilt using One patch, her hexagons. I think she forgot she's worked with all triangles or maybe all squares or strips as in fence rail. 9 patches and 4 patches are just as much ONE patch quilts as a real old 'one patcher'...*VBS*

Thanks for the glimpse into the book! its really interesting to think about all the possibilities which are hidden in one patches. I love your triangle quilt.... I've got a bunch of 1.5" finish HST that I continue to add to. maybe one day I'll make a SMALL one patch quilt using them... :-)
How interesting - always though of one patches as being like charm quilts but of course they can have patterns too like the triangle quilt.
Your computer was having a standoff also? Hmmm, something must be in the air. What is the meteor shower going in now? Hmmm. Whatever virus it was, my computer was sneezing also. Had a devil of a time getting hourglass instructions assembled. Of course, it could have been operator error. Thanks for sharing Finn.
The pattern looks very interesting, may have to purchase the book. Yoru triangle quilt is beautiful, I love scrappy quilts.
I have a charm quilts book too but I don't know if it is the same one. There are some interesting designs when you only work with one shape. I've started a collection of shapes so someday I'll be able to make a few charm square quilts.
