This is what we saw as we stood in the garage, last week getting this quilt top tied. A rainy day outside, inner weather not so hot either!
Sunday morning brought us a spectacular sunrise, just after 7 a.m. The rain has moved east to plague Katie, in Michigan...hurray for sunshine!
And with much effort, we finished up the machine quilting part of this little Pineapple Blosson top. Now we are going to bind it in solid red, and hand quilt some red perle cotton stars in that striped border *VBS* We are happy!!!
And we pulled out the box of plaid flannel. Time to make a new snuggle quilt for a growing grandson, *VBS*. This pattern looked interesting in the magazine, and 12" blocks go fast. We like fast!!! Eight are done, and the quilt only calls for 12 of them, to make a 48" X 60" quilt.Loads of thanks and extra hugs for ALL of you, my very special blogger friends *VBS*. We all have equal opportunity at trials, troubles and tribulations but having friends like you makes it sooooo much easier. I'm probably not quite back to my ole Finn-self, but I'm geting there. I had lunch with Betsy today, and managed to collect myself enough to get some errands run and some autumn type chores done. It's getting better *VBS* Hugs, Finn

looks like you participated well in fabric therapy :-) The work you've got done is great!
Glad to see you back in the world again. Do you do 1/4" seams on flannel? I read in a book on flannel quilts to deepen the seam because flannel is so loosely woven and a deeper seam will last longer.

Nice photo of the tied quilt in the garage; it's a pretty one. Boy, we can quilt anywhere, can't we? I have quilty work areas all over the house. Couldn't be better.

I hope your spirits continue to lift as you work on your beautiful projects. Your pinneaple blossom is gorgeous. I made a scrappy one and gave it to my dad for his birthday this year.
I love the stitches, too, Finn. They are so soothing to the heart, soul and mind when life gets a bit frayed around the edges. You have been very productive!
Hi dear Finn! It sounds like you may have been 'under the weather' altho you couldn't tell it by your eye candy show of today. :) I love each one of these that you are working on---but most especially the Christmas Pineapple---oh my, I do just love that one!!! May have to move that pattern further up on my 'some day' list , and make it in Christmas fabrics! :D I've just been to the ER, got a bit of pneumonia in the left lung. Hope to be back up to snuff in a few days---I do still have sooooo much to put in the ground before the cold North winds blow this way! :) Hugs to you and Mz. Ebby!

Just stopping by to say hello! Your quilts are lovely, interesting and cheerful as always. Art is very fulfilling to create, I think. =) We are enjoying the Autumn beauty here. I have my first sore throat...which comes and goes. Its nice to have the furnace making things cozy on the cool days now. We still have some tulips to plant and a few more things to get done outdoors before the weather really changes for the worse.
Hi Finn! I like that Christmas quilt!! So fun and cheerful. My mom and I tied many quilts on the top of our freezer. We would spread it all out and just go to town. I wish she were here to see what quilting has become now, she would be amazed!!

I'm still sending lots of energy and hugs your way! The caves feel differently to each and everyone of us, but sometimes we just need to go inside and do inner work for a while. Your cave just happens to be a garage with a tying frame and lots of quilts! Now what could be better than that! And Miss Ebby, why she's one of the best little healing cats that there is...I think you know that by now. God works in mysterious ways and little loving helpers are one of them. We all just come in different shapes and sizes and some come with fur ;)
