Popping In.....

to say "Hello" so you won't think I've gone missing *VBS* Busy, busy, busy week. Lots of 'senior' type stuff to take care of...appointments, luncheons, etc. I've spent every spare minute machine quilting 'by the ditch' stuff on the Strip Twist. A bit more to go and then borders. I told Betsy yesterday, there is NO such thing as 'in the ditch' to my quilting. Even when I'm SURE it's in the ditch, it's NOT...drat the failing eyesight!!Here's a simple, fun-to-make(with any size squares) double 4 patch. I made this one years back for yet another baby of my DD's girlfriends. I have a picture of little Julia(on the quilt)as a baby, and here, as a toddler. Quilt still lookin' pretty good. I used 2.5" and 4.5" squares in this one. Love those 2 color quilts! Hope everyone is happy and stitching! Hugs, Finn

I love the double four patch! I have one on my machine that my mom made, I have to decide how to quilt it. There will not be any ditch stitching in it! :o) The little one is the picture is a cutie!

Oh my gosh Finn--your Weather Pixie says you are at 16 degrees F. Make more quilts, quick! That blue and white one is lovely as is the covered up cutie!

Oh Finn - I think 'ditch quilting' is an urban myth. Each time I try, it looks more like 'winding mountain road' *s*

Happy and stitching here. Hope to see how you finished the table runner soon.

I love 2-color quilts, too. One of my first loves was a blue and white Ohio Star. This is a nice one for babies and toddlers - quick and usable! Or for soldier quilts, too.

I'll bet no one who gets your SID quilt will notice the stitching - just you do!

You're a rim rider, Finn. Rim riders ride edges, not stay put in ditches. And sometimes, we like to stray and color outside of the lines, too;)Perfection is not a goal, it's an obsession. Avoidance is a good thing. You rim ride, vist a ditch, check out this little piece here and there, all you want. They're all just beautiful to me and to the ones you love that love you so much back!

Nice, Finn! Elegantly simple, and it makes a great two color quilt. :)
