A quiet Sunday.....

and alas...I can't find my camera!! I'm not panicing...it's right where I set it down last...trouble is, I can't seem to 'see' where that is!
Sooooo...no pictures today of Julie Q's presents or my tutorial table runner(which I finally got sewn together today).
I had a 'sewy' weekend, getting lots done, and a couple of naps besides. The ABC Family channel has been running a Harry Potter marathon, so I've had company all weekend! I know the story line quite well from the first 3 movies, so watching is not necessary. I can just listen and sew *VBS*
Oh yes! FOR HAZEL***** The *VBS* means 'very big smile' here in blogland. LOL means 'laughing out loud' and a *G* means 'grin'...you'll see a lot of *VBS* here at Pieces *S*
There are others, many others, but those are the ones I use.
I have another VERY simple table square pattern that makes up to a 21" square with minimum cutting and sewing. I'll share that on Tuesday...*VBS* I got mine pressed and pinned today, already to machine quilt it. A quick and easy gift item.Speaking of patterns....am I the ONLY one who didn't know there are really GREAT FREE patterns at the ez quilt site???? They are the people who make the EZ Angle rulers...and I linked over there today from Bonnie's. I was suprised to see free patterns, and really NEAT ones, including Christmas stockings, etc. Give the site a look-see here.
The storm gave us about 6" of fresh snow, and then turned to freezing rain. I've been hunkered down since Friday and in no danger. I don't see well enough to risk walking until it's shoveled and salted. And yes Katie, the soup kettle is on *VBS*

I'm so glad that you and Ebby have been all snuggled up this weekend during the snow and ice. I've been watching the Weather Channel, keeping an eye on you two. :> I have my backing fabric ready for my F&E (that's 'Finn&Ebby' *g* runner, and I was so excited to see that you're going to share another one with us!! I can't wait! :D Stay warm, dear friend!

Sounds like you stayed warm and cozy and stitchy all weekend! Good plan. And soup is the perfect accompaniment to the snow and ice!

Sounds like perfect quiltin' weather to me. Thanks for the reminder on the EZ site, I've not been there in awhile.

Oh Finn, thanks for the link to the EZ site, no I didn't know they had free patterns there.
can't wait to see a picture of your finished tablerunner.
Oh the snow is so pretty we are lucky to have gotten less than 2 inches yesterday....wish we had your 6 inches.

The soup kettle is on in this house too. Cauliflower and blue cheese soup the other day - really yummy stomach lining stuff!

Stay warm.

Why is misplacing things so easy to do and finding them so hard? Look under Ebby or maybe her quilt. LOL

Glad you're warm and dry and have lots to do at home. *wink* I am forever finding items that I have misplaced in the most unlikely places... yikes! I hope your camera turns up soon. I'm sure it will.

Glad you managed to weather the storm! We got hit as well (and the power went out on Saturday night -- no sewing for me, but I did manage to get to bed at a decent hour...hmmnn...)

The storms (we're on the last of three this weekend) are raging here in Oregon. We've had trees go down, limbs everywhere! Cats are all willllldddd. We're all snuggling up under blankies and quilts, too! Don't forget I list over 2,000 free quilt pattern sites on my web page...link over on the right column! It's great fun to check new ones out, especially if you still have electricity!!!
