A Utility Table Runner...finally

**Found the camera!**Right where I left it *VBS* So here's the picture of MY table runner sewn together. I cut my sub sections at 2", rather than the 1.5" in the directions...so I have a bigger runner. It's 20" X 24".I will be adding a border strip to each end..probably a 4.5" strip, and not the green plaid I had thought I might use. It's just too different.
Just for the heck of it, here is a picture of an 'everyday' runner I use under my sewing machine so it doesn't slip on the table surface. Again, it's about 12 yrs old and going strong.
And this is one of the original ones I made 12 years ago...nice that they don't take much yardage to make up.
And last, but NOT least, here is my adorable new gingerbread man from Julie Q *VBS* She sent me the blue fabrics (right behind him)also. They are 'sample' cuts, definitely WINTER...one has snowflakes, two are blue blenders, and one has mittons and hats, the other(and my favorite) with long red underwear and other winter garments ...LOL I've been browsing my books, looking for a little quilt to make using them. Thanks again Julie!! You made my day!
I managed to get around to a few blogs yesterday, and I see that Norma is making a table runner, and that Angie has hers together and is thinking of doing more. If more of you are doing them, do let me know so I can come over and take a peek!

I haven't been to visit for awhile but you sure have been busy!! Wish I had some time to make one of your table runners! :( It is a beauty and looks pretty easy!!

Winter arrived here last night in the form of ice and freezing rain. Made for a super slippery commute this AM!

Glad to see that all is well! Happy Monday!

Norma needs to put her blocks together! Maybe tonight, we had a busy weekend here.

I did mine WOF and cut two inch sub cuts so I have enough for a large one and a smaller one. Then I am sure that DD will want one when she sees mine. This is such a great pattern for that a quick gift. Would be great for a hostess gift or a gift exchange. I see more in my future, and I plan on checking out clearance Christmas fabric to make a lap quilt for next Christma. Thanks Finn, will post pics when I finish.

Love the gingerbread man.........

It's funny how things are often right where we left them if we could only remember where that was. The gingerbread man is soooo cute. What a great idea.

Well, now, isn't that Gingerbread the most adorable little thing!!! And how super simple is that!! Guess who'll be 'borrowing' that idea/pattern. ROFL Love those blue fabrics she sent you too. :) I could use some long-johns tonight...low 22 here...but I bet that sounds warm to you and Mz. Ebby, huh? :D Hugs!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....love your 'utility' table runners, only they look pretty fancy not utiliarian to me;) I need a quilt for under my sewing machine...love that idea. Right now, she's having issues and sewing is on a standstill...not a good thing right now. I'm even talking sweet talk to her, too!

Your runners are wonderful - easy and long lasting. I don't think I have anything that I had 12 years ago!

Love that little gingerbread man!

Sorry I have not been by sooner---little time for blogging or blog reading lately but you know how that goes. I wondered how you fared with this recent cold snap and less that ideal weather in the Midwest. BRRRR already. My mom said they dodged the bullet as far as went because the temps rose and it was all gone by the next day.

I love your little Christmas runner and am glad that you included the tutorial pictures as to just how it went together as I was staring at it trying to figure it out, LOL. If Norma is making one, she will probably have to make two or three more. Her mom is sure to want one.

What gorgeous blues from JulieQ!

That 9-patch gingerbread man is just way too cute. Link Angie, I'm probably going to lift the idea. OK?

Yahoo! I am glad people want to "lift" the gingerbread man idea. I made it and I can't figure out where the idea came from. I love the rick-rack, that is a fun part. Finn, I am glad you like it! It was fun to make.
