Onward....1 - 2 - 3...testing...

Each day is a new adventure with my revised computer. Isn't it odd how we 'settle' into the format we have, learn to work with it and depend on it...just as it IS! And then someone(obviously an outsider)takes charge of our computers system...and nothing is ever the same again. Now, I'm a pretty old dog. And while I feel I was perfectly capable of learning ALL the new tricks...I have to admit it takes some getting used to. This new trick is challenging me each day....LOL. You need to know that I'm an "edit" freak, with my pictures. I've grown used to being able to 'crop', 'quick fix' and flip them around at will. But my Dell Image Expert is missing and I have Windows Pictures in it's place....ug!Here is a Friday morning(last week) picture just as dawn was breaking outside my door. And it's un-edited, un-cropped and un-inhanced! Because the computer isn't offering me those options.
The second picture, a few seconds later. My 1-2-3 testing today is to see what I get when I just publish them right out of the camera and the picture file. Double clicking on them takes me to a Paint Shop program, and that's dangerous....LOL I've never used paintshop in all the years I've had computers!
I will get this figured out...honest I will...at least I've gotten the computer to accept the camera with little to no effort...I know there is hope *VBS*
Last, but not least, the 'pint size pleasure crew'. They were here a couple of weeks ago and got a belated Christmas present from my oldest DS's family. Indoor hockey sticks, floor pucks and balls to bat around. Good for indoors and out...but NOT(inside) Gram's house!! I value the china cabinet glass doors. The 8 year old is a 'wild' one when given a ball. I insisted they use their new 'toys' at HOME! Works for me!

Isn't it funny how we get used to anyting one way, and to change is an adjustment? Your grandsons are darling, and look so boyishly mischevious!!

Check out Picasa. It's free and does all kinds of good editing things for pics. And you can blog directly from it. I wish I had your ability to handle the new challenges. Have fun.

My hubby is our computer guru. I hate it when he messes with it and doesn't tell me. It is always a new adventure with computers.

I am glad your computer is up and running...sorry about your picture editing system! But it looks like you had a great time with some wee ones! and I am glad. Have fun!

It may take a bit - but everything will get back to normal. I use Picassa for photo editing, too. It's free, easy and does a darned nice job. Have a Happy Easter . . . remember to eat some Jelly Beans *S*

and I had trouble with Picassa and prefer my own camera's software for editing etc...aren't we all funny how we get comfortable working with what we are so used to? Good job Finn getting back into the computer game with the changes...love those photos anyway.

I often complain that I wish people would stop "improving" things that I like! Can you download the image program you had online somewhere? I know the Windows one is inadequate. If you can't get the image one you had, try for PhotoPlus, which is a free download - or was last time I put it on a friend's computer a year or so ago.

Oh boy - can I ever relate! The software that came with my new camera is next to useless! Doesn't do any of the things the old software did. I need to take some time to figure out an alternative. In the meantime just renaming a few downloaded photos and putting them into file folders is a major project

Cute grandkids. Don't you just love their energy? I'm receiving a laptop from my son on Monday so I'm going to be in the same boat as you. He says, "you're gonna love it, mom. it's fast" *hehe* He's my personal computer geek boy. I'm excited, though, cuz now I won't have to share a computer with dh. It'll be mine, mine, all mine! Hope I can figure out how to turn it on.

I hate getting used to new setups on computers! Even when I go to a coworker's computer just a toolbar in a different place throws me!

I'm sure you will find some new and nifty things with this one! have a hoppy Easter~

I'm with you, I don't like changes, I leave all the puter stuff to my kids to fix, my grand children are better at it than I am.

Your boys are adorable, but I agree with you about the hockey sticks, indoor/outdoor means "take it out to the garage!"
