Tuesday Tidbits....

a little of this and a little of that...what used to be refered to as "a Duke's mizture"...that's what I have for you on this wild and windy Tuesday. And a smile *VBS*, of course... Part of my Mother's Day loot, a thoughtful gift from DD#1 who love the "All you need is love" fabrics from Moda. This will be a nice addition to my Moda JellyRoll from JulieQ.
Another piece of the Orange Crush Mystery...a revised square using a different red.
Here's the first attempt for comparison.
And a little show stopper for sure. DGS#10 is now officially 3 months old and growing nicely. A picture for Gram on the quilt she made him. He'll be visiting the end of the month...hurray for that!
My bruises are healing and the scrapes are closed over. The stiffness is past and I feel almost human again. Thank you for your good wishes, thoughts and hugs. AND suggestions...I will be speaking to the village clerk about that unmarked end of the foundation slab.
This village is tiny, just over a thousand people. An attendant is something that will never happen, but I think the bright spray paint to indicate the edges would be a very good idea all around, and an inexpensive 'fix'.
My corner of the world is finally turning green, I see tiny 'squirrel ear' sized leaves. On the old river road, the faint green 'mist' now hangs on the hill sides, soon to be full fledged woods. The growing season is upon us, at last.

What a thoughtful gift for Mother's Day from your DD :0)

The red in block 2 really pops...so much more than the red in block 1!

Enjoy the new grandbaby when they are here visiting :0) and last, but not least, glad to hear you are healing from your tumble.

Fabric is such a great gift! Lovely that your daughter thought of that.

Could that be a grandma-made quilt that adorable grandchild is lying on?

Lovely pictures. I like the bright red (the new choice) much better for the OC program.

So glad your body is mending.

Glad to hear you didn't suffer any serious damage in your fall. Bet you'll keep a weather eye out next time!

I think the brighter red is better, even though the original choice is a beautiful fabric.

DGS#10 looks like a happy baby. Bet you can hardly wait to hold him!

The new red just POPS! Good choice, shame you had to loose the other one though, it's turn will come.

The little man is a cutie.

Good morning, Finn! Nice to hear that spring has finally sprung at your house. I am glad you are healing up OK, and sorry again about your tumble. I like your new red for the OC! I cut my triangles for my blocks yesterday and will endeavor today to get them together. Love your sweet baby picture and the wonderful quilt under that precious baby!

I think you made the right choice with substituting the reds in the OC blocks. The new one is going to show up much better :)

I like the reds. Sorry to read that you had a tumble, but glad you are healing. The fluorescent spray is a brilliant idea.

How's the Clare Challenge coming along? It needs to be given a number as I'm about to start on my 8th quilt. Do you want 8 or 9?
