It's one of 'those' days...*sigh*. I guess last week was too busy, or the weekend exhaused my head of steam...I'm flat today. I know there are bound to be days like that, the days when breathing is just about all I have energy for. I've been trying the past few days to GET with the program and feel 'inspired' with that bag of bright scraps and leftover Y2K squares...but sometimes it just doesn't happen. I'll try a bit more, and if needs be, I'll set it aside and play with something else....soon!
Quite a few of you have commented about this picture as my new header. It's NOT a new picture. It's just a fuller view(un-altered)of the 'thread on one of my crocheted rugs' picture. I think I snapped that last summer???? I've never posted the original picture til now.
This is the one that I posted after cropping it, and altering the color intensity.I tried to use this one for the header, but in it's altered state it wouldn't fill in the whole spece...so I used the orginal instead. I like this one much better.
For that "that" part of my post, this was the early morning greeting outside my door. I didn't realize we are that much higher than the state highway that runs past our complex. No fog at all up here in The Cottages...but looking south or north, this is what lingered as morning arrived.
The "other thing" part of my post is that Norma, at Random Stitches, was the BIG WINNER of the RIding the Orphan Train drawing. She got to choose from two of my handquilted quilts *VBS* She seems happy *VBS*, me too!!

Finn, our strange connection is acting up again! When 'one of those days' turns into 'what a week!' and then into 'what in the world is going on here' you know we're not in charge of driving the train anymore. All this time we were in the same box car, or maybe we're in the caboose and we just didn't notice the other through all of the steam, fog, and smoke blowing out our ears. Hey, look! There's others in here, too! I see lots of others just like us now! ...Michele waving madly at Finn across the aisle and then at...and....and ..... ;)
I'm waving too. I love love love those wooden cotton reels.
I like both of the photos. So colorful! I think the colors in things can be inspirational too. Hope your muse comes back soon. Hugs
I like the photos - so bright and cheerful. Hope you feel more inspired soon!!

Mmmm - I love to step outside with my first cuppa and enjoy the misty, cool start of a day *s* It's like there's a little secret hidden back there and you just have to wait for the sun to break through to show what it is *s*
Happy June Days, Finn. It's the perfect time of year... cool mornings and warm, breezy afternoons. I love your plaid squares! That's going to be a beauty. And the leukemia quilt turned out awesome. Burp cloths and bingo, packages and winners, life sounds good, Finn.
You put together a fabulous still-life to photograph.
I remember the cropped photo-and agree it was brighter for sure. oh, winning hand quilted quilts by you- lucky Norma!! sometimes you have to just let those bits and pieces sit a spell until they truly speak to you.
