At Finn's house...

Ebby is on full squirrel alert these day. Being that we have no real squirrels, she settles for those on TV. Maybe Libby will shipped her pesky squirrels to WI *VBS*. A sunny day, but cold. It was sweltering yesterday and then a cold front blew in from the northwest and now it's down right nippy here! Think hooded sweatshirt!
Quilting continues most evenings on the elderly Guild BOM. Tonight the quilting will be smelling faintly of fresh applesauce snack cake baked today. And even more faintly of smokehouse meats. A trip to a rural meat market for some nice Italian sausage and polish kilebasa/..yummy! Binding the Whatever quilt has replaced quilting the past day or so.
All around the neighborhood sunshine enhances the rural beauty. God's creation rivaling the best that gardners have to offer. And spread across the dining room table a new quilt being born.
The elusive Hourglass scrappy is ready for quilting. A finished backing, complete with a pieced-together batting is on tap for the moment I get the binding finished. I'm really excited to get to that one and then the next, and the next!! Project Runway is on tonight, I'm a fan! Survivor begins again this month with Africa as its setting. I can hardly wait. Survivor is my major league team of choice...LOL
Jean is doing well and has gone back to work, but not full duty. Betsy is piecing up a storm with a Lady of the Lake top, and getting ready to fly away to Philly to see her granddaughter. The kidlet that I helped get settled in a new place is doing well. He managed to come up with money for his bills after a month of following the budget system I set up for him. He's quite amazed that it works...LOL. So far so good, I always say!

Thanks for the lovely gentle visit. I DO like that quilt in the hoop ... or could it be ANY quilt in the hoop? Pretty clear colors, cheerful and happy.

Silly cat! 8-)

The leaves are turning here early also. Does this mean a colder winter? Looks like you're making great progress on your projects. Have a safe trip.

What a wonderful post. It has a bit of my favorite things - kitty, flowers, quilt, friends and family and anticipation for a new season of my favorite TV shows. I too like Survior. I also watch Amazing Race. Ebby has got it right - sit in front of the TV for her adventure. Hope you are having another contented day.

Those squirrels may just be hitch hiking their way to your house *s* I'm currently starving them out. I pulled up the last of the garden over the weekend. If I can't have any tomatoes . . . neither can the squirrels. Stingy - but honest *s*
