Another WIP Wednesday....

and no Project Runway to look forward to this evening! A chilly but sunny day here in my part of WI. We had a hard freeze the past two night, and my outdoor plants are officially done! The blue baby bows quilt is finished. Not sure what my camera is up too, but in reality, the binding is the same blue as the border. It sure looks gray in this picture.
I got the 42 blocks of this one sized over the past few days, and began making the rows this morning. Again, I have no idea why this one is out of focus, while the ones before and after are just fine??? Gremins I guess. Or maybe an early Halloween Trick or Treat??
Last but not least today, a very, very old UFO. It would be complete if I would just get busy and quilt that last border and attach binding. When I began quilting it, I quilted the background with a 1/4th inch grid. There isn't much background after all, and the majority of this little quilt was already done in 1991! Which is an amazing 17 years ago!!! How do I know that? Well, in 1991 I toured Ireland with a friend, and this is the hand stitching project I took with me. There is a picture around here somewhere of me sitting on a wall outside a pub in Co. Kerry, stitching on this little quilt. These days the idea of quilting with black on black is daunting, but I've decided to "go for it". And then search out something to bind it with *VBS* Long enough already, right???Oh yes, for the record these little bows are hand pieced and finish at 3.5".

You've been busy, haven't you? About 2 weeks ago I did a major garden clean up and then we got a hard freeze. Now, the daytime temps are back to about 76 and night time lows are about 34. Just love this kind of weather. It isn't even cold enuff for jackets.

I love your bow tie quilts, especially the little hand pieced one. I do think it's time for a finish! :o) How many have you completed since you started your challenge?
We had our first snow yesterday, which is almost unheard of in our part of NJ...last time was 1979, the year I graduated high school! We had a bad winter that year, I wonder what's in store this year?

I'm loving seeing all your finishes...

The bow ties are so sweet. Don't you hate when technology has gremlins? Love to see all your lovely scrappy quilts. They are so inspiring.

It was about 85 degrees here today. Promises to get cold all the way down to about 75 pretty soon. Love all those bow ties. I made a blue bow ties quilt couple of years ago.

I really like your little Amish inspired bow tie quilt. Not much more left to finish it!! Keep at it. Can't wait to see it all finished.

Love yoru baby blue bowties! My pictures somehow look different in the finished product sometimes, too. I would love to hear about Ireland! How fun!

You know, I finally broke down and purchased season 2 of Project Runway on DVD's so I could have them in the background as I work. Something about that show gets me moving on the days when I would otherwise fritter my time away! I expect to be purchasing season 4 between now and Christmas too!

Lost my comment post so will try again. That pic is such a nice way to send a thank-you. He is sure a nice-looking boy. Aren't pics nice to remember our travels? Hey, starts and finishes at our pace. I'm am going to read a couple posts from the challenge participants each day. Glad your Ott light is shining. Hang in there.
Hugs. I tried to bold this comment for you but no luck
