Sunshine.....

what a delightful surprise after a rainy, cloudy cold morning *VBS* As promised, here I am again with the Baby Blue Bowties. I got busy and sewed the binding on.  Now it's all ready to be picked up and worked on in the evening. I found a nice pastel plaid flannel for the backing and a piece of batting just the right size...bonus! It's not for anyone in particular, but I'm sure I can find a home for it.
And these are the blocks that distracted me from starting a new quilt yesterday. I now have the 42 blocks I need for a 6 X 7 set. That gives me a 48" X 56" snuggle quilt. I have several new names on my lists of children who need a quilt. This should do nicely for one of them *VBS* And I have a newsflash for all of Ms. Ebby's fans. After living here for two years, she finally decided to check out my sewing table. It's directly under a north facing window, and she recently adopted the window ledge and began watching me sew. I put some batting scraps on the window sill so she has something to lay on. I use a table Ott lamp for extra light behind the machine and I think she gets some of that warmth also. Today, while I was sewing binding on the baby quilt, she noticed it was FLANNEL...and oh my, is that ever a cat magnet. Next thing I know she's standing on the quilt checking every thing out....LOL She was NOT impressed with me when I moved the quilt and she had to get back on the window ledge. Apparently miracles really do happen!!

Cats and quilts just seem to go hand in hand!!!! Love the bow tie!!!
I finished Emerson's quilt so you can knock another UFO off my list!!! I added one though...a baby quilt that has been basted and ready to be quilted for the last 2 years. Finally I have a reason to finish it...I may mix it up and machine and hand quilt this one. So in summary....you can mark me finished for another, but add to my 5 projects to make it 6!! I seem to be taking a step forward and then one back!

I really like the white and blues in the bow tie. You are really doing up those UFO's there lady!

Paris loves flannel.......I even made her a flannel blanket to lay on! Glad that Ebby has given you the thumbs up, maybe she has decided that she is home to stay.

Oh, good to know about the flannel! I'm not fortunate enough to own a cat at the present time but I have made a couple of quilts intended for cats. I may just back the next one with flannel now that I know they appreciate it :- )
