I know I've been missing for a few days, and here's my explaination. I have had my eye surgery. I've kept it pretty much on the q.t. for some personal reasons. I was operated on about 11 a.m. yesterday and the worst is behind me. The surgery went well, and I sailed through with flying colors and a good blood pressure.The bandages came off today and the dr. is pleased with the results. Me too!! Already I can see a big different in the clarity of the world around me. No more looking through wax paper. The color of things is amazingly bright and clear. And I could read road signs along the way to the dr.s this morning. Betsy kept laughing at me as I read signs outloud. I still have several weeks of healing before I can have glasses, but the time is going to be made easier by how much vision has already been restored. Meanwhile, I'm doing the Happy Dance, UFO #2 is FINALLY completed (piecing). The never ending, Blooming 9-Patch. As soon as I get backing fabric it will be quilted along with UFO#1 patiently waiting to be quilted.

Great news! I know you're relieved that all has turned out well.
I remember that same sense of wonderment when I got my very first glasses and could read store signs two blocks away. My parents were devastated, not having realized how bad my vision was, but I was absolutely thrilled to see the world with such clarity.
May we never lose that awe of the world.
