A wild and wet Wednesday.....

cloudy skies and thunderstoms. Quite a change from the 70+ degrees of Monday. 48 hours past surgery now, and I'm feeling fine. I was a bit 'wobbly' for a couple of days, but I seem to have gotten past that.I'm really enjoying the new brillant color of everything around me *VBS* Thank you all once more for your joy, good wishes and comments. Another finish for my UFO list, and this one was a bigger one. I had been handquilting it before the challenge started, but I'm counting it anyway! I have it finished. Quilted, bound and washed! Hurray!!!
The small Ancient Amish bowties are also finished. I managed to 'wrap up' these finishes prior to surgery. Meaning I stitched binding well into the night on Sunday...but it was worth it.
Here's another elderly UFO, an old Country Threads pattern from the late 80's and early 90's. It came with a pattern for a stuffed and dress Mama Cat and Kitten. I haven't made the cat, but did like the little fish quilt. It only needs a bit more quilting and then binding.
An last but not least, a little Halloween Treat *VBS* My sweet #10 grandson Baby L. He's almost 9 months and a busy, busy baby I'm told. The costume was ok with him, and he wore it to the grocery store but not Trick or Treating this year. I understand he wasn't impressed with the head gear...LOL

I just recently stumbled on your blog, and have been enjoying seeing your quilts. But I'm completely stumped...what does VBS mean? Forgive me if it's something obvious.

What a doll-baby (is it OK to say that about a little boy?)...I guess so if you are a Nana, right?

Glad you are back in the land of the colorful!

Glad to hear things are going so well with your recovery. I love all your scrappy finishes. Scrappy is my favorite flavor for a quilt.

You're a busy person! Beautiful grandchild. I like the quilt with the white background for a lot of different blocks.
