well, not quite....but I still have waaaay too many cold symptoms. Darn. It makes you feel just awful...yukky. Little to no energy beyond the bare basics. But of course I have to sew...that's what keeps me sane, for the most part anyway *G* Needless to say I haven't exhaused my interest in the Strippy type quilts. This one is #4. I've been thinking about doing one in which I vary the width of the strips. I'm still using the original format, but not the 'bottom to the top' row routine. I make up a huge pile of sewn together strips, measure off the length I want the quilt to be and cut. The severed off part is the top of the next row.
And I have been thinking about putting in another(or two)form of piecing, such as a row of HSTs. Maybe 3.5" next to the 2.5" strip row, etc. I have alot of sewn up 3.5" HSTs I could use. But what caught my eye today, was a baggie of 2.5" amish color squares. That lead me to a bin of 1.5" squares. I've pieced together a row of those also, and they are on the other side of the top. Not sure what comes next...*VBS*, but it's fun figuring it out.
I have received an award but can't find the picture. I'll be back soon to change that and give the proper credit.

Don't you just love strippy quilts. They make use of so many scraps of material. I love yours.
Hope your on the mend soon.
So what if you made those strippy pieces square, say 12 to 18 inches, or whatever works. Then alternate them when sewing them together. One vertical, one horizontal, and so on.
Just a thought,
Cherrie
Your strippy squares are awesome.
I hope you're feeling better soon!
I just love to watch your work with scraps and strips and oddball pieces. Such wonderful creations form before my eyes.
I hope the winter bugs are leaving and you feel all good again soon. Sick is no picnic. Stay warm and keep hydrated. I'm sending super strong get well vibes your way.
I too love the length wise look rather than the width wise...you are so getting me closer to attacking my scrap barrel with one (10)of these strippies..
Your squares are acutally really nice on the boarders they kinda say "there is a means to an end" do feel you need to do some hand work just to step away from the sewing machine yet?? *G*-learned this from you...LOL
Wow #4...I'm impressed! I really love the one I completed and may have a go at another one...
Wow - I like the look of these strip items.
Maybe if we all sat in the window like our cats, the sunshine would eliminate nasty winter germs! 8-)))
Stay warm.
Hope you will soon be back in top form!
Love those bright colours.
It's fun to do all sorts of things with strips. I like these with the diagonal adding interest.
