I can't believe it's Thursday again....

already! Where did the week go?? I haven't been doing much sewing lately, but the cold wet weekend we had, found me playing with flannel scraps. Scraps left from making backings are a "mixed bag". Sometimes they are just bits and pieces, sometimes strings and/or strips. Occasionally they are too big to cut into regular shapes. Those I put to one side and add them to backings. The top I have begun(shown here) will be a mixture of Mile A Minute and String blocks. I'm working in 8.5" blocks for a change.
A short time ago(can't remember which day)brought this lovely gift from my sweet friend Julie in Texas. She had written that she was sending orphan blocks, and tucked in was this yummy "scrap bag" of Moda strips. Rather than be a jellyroll, it has strips of various widths. I'm going to have alot of fun with these, thank you so much Julie!!
And this picture takes no explaination, does it??? Love that nosey cat! Can't even lay strips on the floor without her checking it out! I hope everyone has sunshine in their corner of the world today *VBS*

I've missed you friend.

Another neat project....can't wait to see it finished. I love the Moda strips...lovely. Enjoy!!

btw - thought I'd see if I could find some articial water, lol!! Probably no such thing, right. It sure did give a laugh to a number of people though. Too funny!! Still can't believe I did that, however life should be fun and that's what that ended up being.

Hugs..

I have to make another donation quilt some of these days, and I do have a lot of flanned scraps--I should try to use some of them up.

Nice gift! I have a basket of flannel scraps that I intend to sew up into a quilt top someday. Every time I walk past it I think of you :- )
