A September Saturday...

and things have been pretty quiet in the Valley since school started. Our mornings look like this quite often now, as the chill of autumn settles in.
Of course the sun chases all that away, and our twilight time looks like this, most days. We are very short on rain again. Much promised, but none delivered.
I've been working in the garage trying to "downsize" my life and taking advantage of the cooler weather to do so. When I do sit down to sew, I'm playing with these again *VBS* Yup, those mile-a-minute quilt seeds.
This top has nothing to do with the MAM blocks, but it's the top I'm trying to finish before it gets really cold around here! Youngest son needs a new quilt. This one should work just fine. It's going to be sturdy. His sleeping partner has four legs and a waggley tail, consquently, nothing fancy is happening! Happy September days everyone!

Great pictures and by the way we are getting all your rain! That looks like the perfect quilt for your son and his 4 legged bedmate! I like the way you did the light and dark fabrics.

Fog and mist make things eerily beautiful. I love the string blocks you are showing.

Dear friend, you've been missed. I'm finally getting back to quilting after a couple weeks of huge transitions. It feels so good to be in my sewing room.

I love the look of the quilt your doing for your son. The light really makes the darker colors pop. Hugs..

It is so very hot in Oregon, still. And not so much still and cool. Our waves undulate with each degree as it rises... and working in my hot loft sewing nook is a testament to determination and the creation of my own sweat lodge;) Your QuIP is darling and perfect for 4 legs, a warm nose, waggley tail and perhaps even a bit of the human companion! Youngest son will only feel more loved by such a fine gift!

We don't get those lovely sunrises and sunsets here this time of the year (I think, or maybe I'm just not paying attention these days...), so I enjoyed your pictures.
The string quilt looks great!
