Tuesday in the Valley....

with a tale to tell *VBS* I have this little helper. She's got my time schedule down pat. She knows when and where and what I'm likely to be doing.  She's Queen Ebony, in charge of all she see. That does NOT include the quilts I'd like her to stay OFF OF. Doesn't everyone appreciate cat hair? Taking a picture of a quilt has become a challenge!
Innocent as the driven snow, right?? Well, only if I'm watching ALL the time..
and put the quilt on the couch for the picture. My first UFO Challenge Finish!! I got the last of the binding sewn down this afternoon. This a donation quilt and not one that really needed finishing in the "true UFO" sense....but, it's a finish and I'll take it!
The last time you saw this one it was blocks. It's also the one that I made to fit the backing fabric...LOL. All those little green frogs are accounted for and will help keep some little one warm and snug.
I wanted to mention also, that Auntie Em has created a New Years Eve UFO Countdown and is willing to share it with all of us in the challenge. Hop on over and check it out *VBS*

Congrats on your finish. It is such a happy quilt. You scared me when you said there was a hint from Aunt Em. Happy to meet another Aunt Em and to know I didn't forget something.

That yellow one is like a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day...so pretty.

Yes, posting a picture of the "boss Ebony" is always a good deed.

What a pretty quilt. I love the yellow material in it.

I wanted to thank you again for doing this. It's really challenged me. Today I cut backing and batting for 3 of my UFO's and pinned them. All ready to start quilting tomorrow. Hugs..

Your cat is so beatiful!

Congratulations on finishing an UFO; I have also finished my first of the UFO challenge quilts a few days ago, and am just putting in the final stitches on the second.
I'm so glad you did this; it's fun working on some of the old projects, and great finishing them!

What a happy, sunny quilt! I love that backing fabric, too, so I know why you had to fit the top to the back! I'm working on my finishes,,,slowly but surely!

I agree, a finish is a finish. Congratulations I finished a shawl at my knitting class today, but did not finish the vest yet!

I just love the yellow. How sweet would it be to cuddle up under this buttery beauty on a cold day? Just lovely!

Such a pretty, cheery quilt for the first UFO challenge! Nice job, Finn. I've been a bad girl and actually pieced a NEW UFO when I should have been basting and quilting. But I used up a bunch of crumb blocks and old strips in the process so I feel good about that. So now I'm determined toget my challenge projects basted & ready to quilt in the next couple of days. Company is coming soon so I MUST clean house, too. Bummer. (Frown and sniffle)

You've really been busy spreading the love lately! Good on you :- )
That yellow quilt is sure to make someone happy. I wonder if I'll ever get brave enough to do a completely yellow quilt someday? Yours is the second one I've seen online and I have to say I'm very tempted. Got a few other ideas to play with first...
